you know why you can't cancel us for white chicks because you know who loves white chicks the most
0:03
white chicks sean and marlon welcome to heart's evening show how are you both i'm doing great
0:09
how you doing we are very excited to have you here in the uk there's a big buzz around the building
0:14
and in the country in general there's lots of people very very excited about scary movie oh
0:19
that's cool marlon it must be such a relief that you can finally talk about there's not rumors about
0:23
maybe it is maybe it's it's it's definitely happening yeah because y'all can't bother me
0:27
Everybody for 20 years. When are you going to do another scary movie? I don't know
0:31
I was chasing this for like five to 10 years. Like, I wanted to do the next scary movie
0:35
It kept, like, eluding me. And then, you know, John Glickman over at Miramax
0:42
they got a new executive. And he was like, if they're going to do another scary movie
0:47
it should be with the Wayans. So I got that call. They wanted me to be in this scary
0:51
And I was like, nah, I can't do it without my brothers. They wanted me to cameo. And I was like, I wouldn't do this script
0:56
or this isn't my take, this isn't how we see it. And the only way I do it is the weigh-ins
1:01
you know, we come back as a camp and as a brand and we do it. And so they heard the take and they was like, bet
1:07
And now it feels good to present a scary movie, a reboot, what we call the rebootical
1:13
because it's a reboot and a sequel at the same time. And it's going to be something I think the world
1:19
you know, needs. It's laughter and laughing together and the movie feels good
1:24
It's nostalgia, you know, even though it's 26 years removed we still look like yesterday right sure i don't know man you
1:31
guys haven't aged at all by the way definitely not i was fishing for cop
1:36
he was it has been over 25 years since the first scary movie i know i noticed there's been a lot of
1:41
discussion around the humor in the first two films and i heard this quite a lot people saying things like oh you wouldn be able to get away with the same jokes from like the first films and so what i love to know is was it a challenge to be funny in 2026
1:55
no i think it's your mentality right we we on stage every weekend well well being funny is
2:03
always a challenge because it's not easy to be funny it's hard work and you got to know what
2:08
you're doing. So that's always a challenge to make people laugh. But the culture back then was
2:15
different. So it was easier back then and more supportive of humor than it is now. Now you don't
2:23
get a lot of humor because the culture is kind of anti-humor. You know, everybody's a critic about
2:31
things that are supposed to be funny. And so they don't give it a chance to breathe and actually
2:36
become funny and enjoy the laugh. You get canceled for even saying a topic
2:41
Right. You talk about a topic that people are, oh, ooh. But as a comedian, I think when you hear the ooh
2:50
to me, that means they're listening. Right. We're not malicious dudes. We're able to send up a sect of people
2:56
and those people enjoy the jokes the most. It's like they've been trying to cancel us
3:00
for white chicks for the longest time. but you know mockery is the greatest form of flattery and if you tell a joke the people you're
3:08
sending up should laugh the loudest and you know why you can't cancel us for white chicks because you know who loves white chicks the most white chicks so it's just how we do humor it's how we
3:17
always done humor we want to make the world laugh um sometimes and separately and then bring them
3:23
all together and i think this movie has all of that i got really emotional seeing the trailer
3:29
Just seeing so many original cast members it was like almost like a school reunion or something It was like a school reunion What was that vibe like when you guys filming on set just just like a school reunion everybody happy to see each other everybody catching up with each other and how things been going on and going in your life and laughing in
3:46
between uh takes and giving each other funny uh uh jokes to tell in the next uh uh take and uh
3:53
it was just fun it was like a little a little uh uh reunion yeah it was great working with
3:58
Anna and Regina and Sean and David Sheridan. Sherry O'Terry. Sherry O'Terry and Lachlan Monroe
4:06
And, you know, we brought the majority of the cast together, Chris Elliott
4:11
And, you know, we just was like, you know, making each other laugh and having a great time
4:15
And I hope the audience enjoys it as much as we did making it. And I feel like this movie is needed
4:21
You know, we all need to get together in the theater and just laugh again
4:25
Marlon, last time you hit it. By the way, I want to steal your hair. i don't think i might have said that last time i am so incredibly jealous of your ponytail well
4:32
the last time you were here you told us the funniest story about eddie murphy coming to
4:36
your house when you were a kid and he was wearing cow trousers cows cowskin cowskin
4:41
trousers and we tried to snap on him we was trying to roast eddie river every time he sat down we
4:46
was like as well as being incredibly talented talented writers actors comedians producers i
4:53
don't think you guys get enough credit for your sense of style so if you don't mind right we're
4:58
gonna have a little trip down memory lane right now for something that i like to call a fit check
5:04
through the ages this is sean at the premiere for geronimo here we're sporting uh baggy blue jeans
5:12
thick flannel shirt and the most he raided my closet the most 90s hat of all time sean thoughts
5:18
on this outfit choice just confusion it was hot it was cool it was i hope it wasn summertime right let scroll on because the the leather look sort of stayed around for a while here we are in 2014
5:32

5:38
look at that man, look at that, that's rock and roll we got a chrome hearts, jewelry on
5:43

5:48
this is the year 2000 The MTV musical award. This is when we started making too much money
5:54
Sean bought this shirt. I was in the gym. And the ladies was loved
5:59
I told you not to wear that. The ladies loved it. And so that's my thing
6:05
They still show me love for that shirt. Multiple outfit changes this night
6:09
I will say that. You do look good. But you didn't have nothing
6:13
Look, he ain't got no drawers on. He went totally naked. The ladies was loving it
6:18
I did it for the ladies. Well, I had to dress a little extra masculine on that day just to offset what he was doing
6:25
Can't balance that out a little bit. That was confidence. Complete confidence that Sean wore that. And to look back, I wish I wore that, but mine wouldn't look the same
6:32
Well, Marlon, are those... I would like someone who's caught a fish. Are those crocodile trousers that you're wearing there on the left
6:38
That's the MTV Awards, and me and Sean was dressed similar. Those aren't crocodiles
6:42
No, that's... Those are velvet. Right, okay. Velvet. For law, you want to call it
6:48
Crush velvet. and look at Sean you look good Sean see now we're making style
