If you have spent really any time online shopping for a pistol safe, you probably have run into the
0:05
Anais Alloy SE and well, I got my hands on one and I'm going to be telling you guys my thoughts
0:11
about this pistol safe. If it's good, if it's not, what I do like and what I don't like about it
0:16
In today's video, we're going to be talking about that and more. So as a heads up, this is a sponsored
0:21
video. Anais reached out to me and sent this out so that I could take a look at it. So this is a
0:25
sponsored video, but they're allowing me to say whatever I want to say and I'm going to give you guys my full opinion about this pistol safe. So let's get right into it. Before I get too far into
0:33
the video I do want to talk about how to say the name of the company. It is on nice. It's like on
0:38
and nice in one word. That is the correct way I did check with them on the video. So let's talk a
0:44
little bit more about what the safe is. This is what you would consider a smart safe. So a smart
0:49
safe is essentially a safe that just has technology built into it. It's not mechanical lock and it's
0:53
a little bit more than just a keypad lock. So what that means in this case is it has four different
0:58
ways to get into the safe so you have the biometric right here you have a keypad right here
1:02
a physical key and then of course you have RFID. RFID is actually a technology that you don't see
1:08
very often in gun safes right now so it is a welcome addition to this one because it's one
1:12
of my personal favorite ways to get into a safe. So now let's move around to the back so I can show
1:17
you its other defining characteristic on the interior. On the back here of course has their
1:21
logo however the thing that I wanted to talk about is this there are not too many safes out
1:26
there right now that have the carry handle most of them are kind of built around being nightstand
1:30
safes which this one can be as well however having a retractable handle i haven't seen before
1:36
on a pistol safe there are the ones that are kind of built on the outside that either you know kind
1:39
of like lay down or anything like that but i've never really seen it where it pops out like this
1:43
and it is really nice it works really well and it does kind of make the safe portable this is not a
1:48
super heavy weight safe so it's not really difficult to carry around i would truly consider this a
1:53
portable safe. So let's move on to the interior so that you can see some of my favorite aspects
1:57
of the safe. Let's go ahead and get into the safe by putting in the password. So as you can see, this is a spring-loaded lid. And on the inside, you are greeted with a kind
2:09
of a plastic plate. And then it also has some Velcro. So the Velcro can actually be moved into
2:13
all these different slots, however you would like to position it. So this is a great place to put
2:17
things like wallets or just other things that you don want rolling around inside the safe And that don go underneath where the firearm normally would And so it just kind of maximizes the space as well So the top up here you can actually see there is a little pocket here so that a great place to put you know paperwork
2:32
or something like that and then of course you actually have a mesh pocket with a zipper right
2:36
here which is really nice and I like that. And then on the front here there are two LED blue
2:41
lights that do shine inside of the safe that is great for nighttime usage as well as just you know
2:46
in darker circumstances. So now let's move a little bit deeper down into the interior by removing this plate
2:51
and going from there. So removing the plate, basically all you do is you just pull up on the elastic bands there
2:56
and what it does is actually pops out the foam right here and this foam is removable and it has little squares in it
3:02
And basically what it does is it means that you can kind of custom build this foam pad
3:07
to be whatever you want. And it'll make it so that just whatever you want to put into there doesn't roll around
3:11
so you can kind of custom fit it to whatever's on the interior. And moving down a little bit further into the safe, there's even more foam
3:17
And there's even more foam. There's a lot of foam in the safe. And one really nice thing is you can kind of see in the back there
3:25
there's little stickers right there. And you can peel those off. And what it allows for is those grommets to be removed
3:30
And those grommets go to the other side of the safe right here. And that is your mounting holes
3:34
So this is truly a nightstand safe. So if you wanted to bolt this down to your nightstand
3:38
it does actually come with two little screws right here. and that's what you would use right there to bolt it down to something that's not movable and not
3:45
easily taken away. And with that said, I actually want to talk about what the safe comes with
3:49
so let's go to that. What you'll find inside of your package is, of course, you have a USB cable
3:53
so this is a USB-C. This is a battery-operated safe, and it is rechargeable. You also will have
3:59
two keys that go for the safe, that's going to be your physical keys, and the most mechanical way to
4:04
get into the safe, so if everything else goes wrong, you can still get in with these. And then, of course, you do have those mounting bolts that I talked about earlier. You have the
4:11
The RFID tags are actually two of these. They are a nice branded
4:15
Basically, these are RFID tags. I don't think there's any way to program other types of RFID tags to it
4:21
Like, you know, like a lot of other things you can get RFID tags for. I think these are the only way you can get into the safe, which is unfortunate
4:27
And then here is the cable. I don't know why, but for some reason, manufacturers out there aren't sending cables with their pistol safes
4:34
This one does have the capability of having a cable, and they send one with it, which is really nice
4:38
This basically inserts into the safe and then this right here would wrap around
4:42
whatever is just basically immovable in your home All right So I believe I touched on all the different features of the safe So now let get into what I do like about the safe and what I don like about the safe so that you can decide for yourself what works the best The number one thing that I like about the safe comes down to
4:58
interior usage. I think one thing that a lot of manufacturers of gun safes out there really
5:03
struggle with is what to do with the interior of their safe. So it just really isn't maximized
5:07
Generally, it's just a just just the interior of a safe and that's all there is there. I really
5:13
like that there is this plate. I think I've only ever seen this feature in one other safe and I
5:17
really really do like it. And in a safe of this size and this price point that is just a feature
5:23
that is really really great. Being able to know that things just don't roll around because you
5:26
have this elastic band and stuff is just really nice. And then having that custom foam on the
5:30
inside where you can kind of pry out individual squares to fit whatever you want. I just think
5:36
it's a really really good usage of the space on this safe so you can kind of customize it to
5:40
whatever you personally need instead of what they think you need instead. And then of course the
5:45
other thing I really like is this the handle. You really can't beat this. There aren't many safes
5:49
out there that have this feature. Having a handle on here is just really nice to be able to carry it
5:53
around and I really like that it is retractable and easily put down into there. It's a feature
5:57
that just not enough safes have and it's a really welcome feature on a safe like this. And then of
6:02
course I am always somebody that likes the technology in a safe and having those four
6:07
different ways of accessing the safe is amazing especially the RFID. RFID is personally one of my
6:13
favorite ways to get into safes. I like having that physical way. It's like a key but without a key and
6:17
it's just really nice to be able to know that no matter what situation you're in if you're just
6:22
having a hard time remembering things you can get in with that and you don't have to figure out how
6:25
to get a key into the safe physically. All you have to do is just lay it on there and it opens up the
6:30
safe. It is just something that's really easy and unique and it's nice having that access point
6:34
And of course, having three other ways to get into the safe is nice as well. The next thing I actually kind of like about this safe, I had a hard time knowing if I should
6:41
have this as a pro or a con. However, this safe talks to you. I've never had a safe talk to me before, so it was kind of an interesting feature
6:49
And I'll actually get it to say it. So if you put a wrong code in, that's one way to get it to talk to you
6:53
So let's do that. Validation failed. So I've never had a safe talk to me, and I think that's a really interesting feature
7:01
The nice thing about that is you don't have to kind of troubleshoot some blinking light
7:05
or anything like that, and it tells you exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. I actually really do like that and it a cool feature And the last thing that I like about this safe is its price point I kind of seen pricing for the safe all over the board It sometimes under sometimes a little over However it is at that budget price point There aren many safes
7:23
like this any cheaper than that. So if you are shopping for a budget safe, this is a really
7:28
really good option and I really like it. However, you want to make sure that you pay attention to
7:32
the things that I don't like about this safe to make sure that they're not deal breakers for you
7:36
Which leads me to the things that I don't like about this safe. And the first one is the loud
7:40
beeps and sounds. Hey guys, so funny enough, I actually was going to talk about how you can't
7:46
turn off the beeping and that kind of stuff. However, I went back and checked the user manual
7:50
and there is a mute mode. So ignore this first thing that I did not like about the safe and we'll
7:55
go on to the next. And then the next thing that I don't like is its steel thickness. I have not
8:00
been able to find exactly how thick the steel is on this one based off the weight and just honestly
8:05
this category. I'm going to bet probably in the 18 gauge steel. I doubt it would be any thinner than
8:11
that and it could be 14 gauge. My honest opinion is probably that it's 18 gauge and for a portable
8:16
safe it does make sense to be that thickness but I just kind of wish it was disclosed and they were
8:21
open about what the steel thickness was. It's not a bad thing that's 18 gauge steel safe but I just
8:26
wish they would be open about it. So with that said at this budget price point is this thing worth it
8:31
I think it is a safe that would actually work well for a large amount of people. Do not expect this to be an impenetrable fortress that will keep anyone and everyone out of it
8:40
I think a lot of people buy safes like this thinking that it's just going to keep anyone and everyone out
8:45
And that's just not the case. This is a budget safe. There are safes out there for you if you want a ridiculous amount of security
8:51
This safe isn't that. However, what I think it does do a great job of is keeping honest people honest
8:56
and just keeping the things that are on the inside of the safe out of the hands of the people that you don't want them to have it
9:01
I think it does a great job of that. It has a lot of features packed into it
9:05
And I think so far the build quality has been really, really good based off of the price point anyways
9:10
And I've been pretty impressed with it. So that said, I do have a link down in the description
9:14
It is an affiliate link. If you want to check the safe out on their website, I have noticed their pricing is a little bit less
9:19
on their website than other places. So it is worth a check out. And it helped me out if you guys do use it
9:23
And with that said, let me know down in the comments what other things you would like me to review and check out
9:28
and of course like this video it helps me out with the algorithm and of course subscribe if
9:33
you like videos like this and other men's gear with that said have a great one guys bye
