How to delete your MetaMask account

Hey guys, welcome to this new video. In today's video, I want to show you if it's possible to delete our MetaMask account

Now, just in case that you've maybe opened your MetaMask account in another desktop, in another phone

and you are not able to delete your account or to sign out so nobody enters your MetaMask

Well, unfortunately, we're not able to delete our MetaMask account per se

So there are two ways that we can be creating a new wallet

If you want to create a new wallet, if that's the only case, what we want to do is to go into the MetaMask

select this icon right here, and select create account. So you can put a new account name here, create one, and we have a new wallet right here

But if you are done with MetaMask, what you can do is to delete the extension or the application if you have it on your phone

So I want to remove it from Chrome. I'm going to select remove and it's no longer in here

So if I go back into my tabs and I go and select MetaMask, I'm going to be downloaded again

So, because you can see guys what happens if I want to open MetaMask again

So I'm going to add this real quick. So it says MetaMask has been added to Chrome

So it's going to be open a new tab where it says welcome to MetaMask. So as you can see, MetaMask resets itself. It says we're happy to see you. Let's start it

So this is the way that we can create a new wallet. So and having a new secret recovery phrase or if you want to delete the MetaMask because it just won't work and you want to import your wallet again

that's a way that we can do that as well. So I'm going to select the import wallet

I'm going to select I agree and I can paste my secret recovery phrase into this field

And lastly, what I want to do is to select a new password. So the next time I enter MetaMask, I just need to input this password and that will be much easier to sign in

So if I select import, it says congratulations, you pass the test. All done

And as you can see, my wallet, it's in here with no problem

Just in case you have a situation where your MetaMask might be used by another person or you have been hacked or something like that

I strongly recommend that you contact the MetaMask support so they can help you guys to see what you can do in order to restore your wallet or maybe create a new secret recovery phrase
