How To Create Discounts on Shopify (2024) Full Guide

Hey everybody, welcome to this new video of Techspress. My name is Steven

I'm going to be showing you how to offer a specific discount into a product that you already have into Shopify

So as you can see already here, into Shopify, what I wanted to do is to go directly into the point

So what I want to do is to, let's say, offer a specific customer a discount

So I wanted to create an actual discount for this specific customer

So what I wanted to do is to locate the product that I wanted to add

I wanted to actually make a discount. As you can see, I have three of them. So now that I found my products, I wanted to focus here in the left part

I wanted to go into discount. Here into discount, we wanted to start with a discount and promotion

So let's go into create an actual discount. So let's say that you wanted to create

everything is free shipping, but I want to make an amount of a specific product

or the actual order. That totally depends on you. Let's say that I wanted to make the amount of a specific order discount

So let's say that I choose this one, or let's say that I wanted to add like buy XY stuff

And then you're going to be having the free stuff, see stuff for free

I don't know. So with that being said, I have now the method, discount code and automatic discount

So what I want to do is to choose discount code. And here I want to go into generate

If I wanted to have my own, I can just type here and I can go for, let's say, for example, Joe Belly

I don't know. I'm going to hit it like that. I have the summary and I have the value here into the value

What I want to do is to, let's say, reduce the 20% of the entire order

I have the sale channel point of sale. Of course, the minimum purchase requirement is, let's say

that you want, you need to buy stuff for, let's say, I don't know, maybe $35 to all the customers

Or if you wanted to just add on a specific customers, if you already have that into your store

you have to choose specific customers. And then you have to search for that. If you don't have that, you have to worry about that

Just get into all customers, limit this one to one per customer report

because you don't want people to use that for a lot of stuff. And I have now the combination here

Joe Billy can be combined with another shipping discount if you wanted to. And I have the active date

Let's say I wanted to get started with this actual discount from today. Let's say that I want to end the date to next month

For example, this is only applicable for the next three weeks. After that, I'm going to save my discount

And now, as you can see, here is my Joe Billy stuff that I can use for the actual discount

If I wanted to make sure that this one actually is working, I'm going to go into my actual online store

I'm going to view my online store. I'm going to locate my products and I'm going to try to make the purchase

So I can see if this product is actually making the discount that I have just created

So let's go forward out to the cart and that you should add the actual discount

In my case, just won't let me because I needed to have an actual plan account. But it's going to be really, really easy. And of course, it's going to be working, since you already have the actual

discount inside this section. As you can see, here is it must say active

And here it says use this would be the way how we can figure it out if these guy used

or not our actual discount code. With that being said, guys, is how we can get started with an actual discount of a specific product. And you can do much more than that
