Thanksgiving travelers hit the roads early to beat record crowds

With AAA projecting 73 million people on the roads, tri-state drivers left before dawn to dodge what’s expected to be one of the busiest travel days of the year. Traffic was light early, but officials warn gridlock will build throughout the day, with airports also bracing for their heaviest Thanksgiving rush in 15 years.
