Zohran Mamdani: Mayor-elect of New York City

Zoharan Mamdani’s triumph secures his place in history as New York’s first Muslim mayor, the first of South Asian descent and the first born in Africa. He will also become the city’s youngest leader in more than a century when he takes office on January 1st.  More than two million New Yorkers cast their ballots in the contest - the highest turnout for a mayoral race in over half a century, according to the city’s Board of Elections.  #ZohranMamdani #NewYorkCity
