Researchers use AI to detect cancer

On World Cancer Day, attention is turning to a world-first trial showing that artificial intelligence is helping doctors identify more cases of breast cancer during routine screenings. Researchers in Sweden say the results could lead to wider use of AI to ease the workload of radiologists, while emphasising that the technology is designed to support clinicians rather than replace them.
