Philippines: Deadly building collapse traps workers in Manila

A nine-storey building under construction collapsed in the Philippine capital Manila, killing several people and leaving around a dozen missing, most of them construction workers trapped under the rubble. Rescue operations remain difficult because of the unstable structure, while authorities revealed the project had previously been suspended over safety violations before work resumed last year.
