The passion for football in Mexico is high,.but so too are the prices. A World Cup ticket can cost hundreds of euros, while a ticket for a match in Mexico normally costs around 40 euros. The price of food has also increased. For the majority of Mexicans, these high prices make the World Cup unaffordable, sometimes even overshadowing the excitement of the tournament.
