Extreme runners conquer North Pole Summer Marathon

On Monday, deep within the Arctic Circle, nearly 100 runners faced freezing conditions to compete in the North Pole Summer Marathon. The participants spent a week traveling by boat through icy Arctic waters and paid tens of thousands of dollars for the chance to run in the world’s northernmost marathon.
