The women's presentations open the ceremony. Yume Noda of Japan takes gold in the 50kg division, Diana Batova of Russia wins the 55kg, and Russian fighters top the 60kg and 65kg classes, with medalists from Kazakhstan, South Africa, Belarus, Sweden and Japan also on the podiums. The heavyweight women's medals go to athletes from Kazakhstan and Russia. The men's presentations follow across every weight class, with strong showings from Russia and Kazakhstan throughout. Semen Malkhin takes the 60kg gold. Home favourite Daisuke Kameyama of Japan wins the 85kg to big applause from the crowd. The heavyweight over 90kg medals feature the USA's Alejandro Olloqui, South Africa, Russia and the champion from Kazakhstan. The event closes with the special awards, the Fighting Spirit (Kanto-sho) and Best Technique (Gino-sho), followed by a final round of applause for all participants.
