Kyokushin-kan World Championship | Episode 1 | Kata, Weapons and Breaking Tiles | BlackBelt Magazine This segment of the Kyokushin-kan International World Championship runs through a full range of traditional karate demonstrations, from solo weapon forms to high-impact breaking. The video opens with a solo Bo staff kata. After the formal entrance and bow, the practitioner moves through fast strikes, blocks and rotations. A second weapon kata follows, built around precise movements and controlled speed. From there it moves into bunkai, the advanced choreographed combat that shows how kata movements work in real self-defense. A large group of junior students then performs a synchronized group kata, showing the discipline and foundations taught at the junior levels of Kyokushin-kan. The next section features pairs and small groups in weapon versus weapon and weapon versus unarmed demonstrations, the tactical side of the art. The whole thing closes with tameshiwari, the tile breaking finale, where the performer prepares and then drives a single powerful strike through the stack.
