What is this vision of a two-state

solution

coexistence on this island? Look my

vision explain. I have a lot of people

who can criticize me say oh you cannot

have two states within Cypus but after

they said so

they said this

they they said the game is over and I

said now it's about time to bring this

new policy on the table two-state

solution and then with that new policy I

want the presidential election and it's

been nearly 5 years we are trying to

explain this two-state policy to the

world and by and large we have done it

now

Everybody knows that there are two

states in Cypus.

Everybody knows.

You mean Turkey?

Everybody knows

Turkish have their own state. Greekos

have their own state. There are two

peoples.

But for one small you wanted to be

separated. It's it's if we cannot talk

together to share is a problem in a

family. How do you distribute between

the daughter and the son? Problem. Now

we have been separated. Okay. Turkey

here, Greek here. But if you can be in

the European Union, then we can all

coexist together because the embargos

and isolations will be lifted. You can

cross, you can buy land, you can build

your own home. Having direct trade for

our oranges, for our halumi, whatever we

sell outside, I can work in you can work

in Kina. And with some Turkish troops,

the security that they provide would

have prospered much more.

But this is you getting everything you

imagine. You ask me, do you believe it

that this is possible?

Of course, it's possible. So long as if

you wake up one morning and you say

these Turkish criots in the north, they

are also criot and they deserve to enjoy

the virtues of this island as much as we

do. It's so easy. They can do it over

one night because we have all the

infrastructure for it. Our own

government, our own parliament, our own

municipalities. So you don't have to

discuss all these problems how we are

going to share. I have to look after my

own affairs. You look after your

affairs. I've got Turkey, my mother

helping me with anything that I need.

But in this beautiful island in the east

mater I want to have neighbor

relationship with my Greek friends and

if we are both in the European Union

Turkey would do its utmost to help

Turkish cros and Greeks and I'm sure

that they are sincere because they are

prepared to give their water to the

north and the south and connect with a

cable and we can have much better cost

electricity. So it would be a win-win

situation for all
