Representatives of the exotic cat breed are distinguished by its cutest appearance and very peaceful nature. This American breed was bred by crossing short-haired and Persian cats, which resulted in affectionate creatures very similar to teddy bears with thick paws.
The exotic cat breed, bred in the U.S., has rapidly spread around the world. Real charmers have gained popularity in all countries and have taken a well-deserved 4th place in demand. Cats of the exotic breed are different:
Friendly, calm, gentle disposition.
High intelligence.
The ability to maintain equilibrium in all circumstances.
Sociability.
Love for caresses and tenderness.
Compared to lanky Persian cats, they are quite playful, inquisitive, and active. Despite their friendliness, cats have a fighting nature with a well-developed hunting instinct. They gladly catch mice and birds, proudly presenting the trophies to their owners. But in stressful situations, they behave calmly and reservedly, even if it's a trip to the vet. They keep their habits until old age, and only in advanced age their curiosity and playfulness decrease a little. They live 10-15 years.
Cats of the exotic breed choose one owner, to whom they give love and devotion. In the absence of attention from his side, they are truly offended and may even take revenge. Males are capable of great devotion to an adored person and need constant affection and tenderness. They can be with the owner all the time - to sleep in the same bed with him, to sit on his lap. Kittens in this respect are colder and more independent. Even a long stay alone is not as difficult for them as for cats. If a man did not like the animal, he will ignore it. However, females are excellent mothers and themselves teach their offspring "cultural" behavior. Thus, an exotic cat is able to teach her kittens to go to the litter box by herself.
