Republican Senate Candidate Has 'Medical Emergency' On Live TV - Host Cuts To Commercial

and a Republican candidate for Senate had a really serious, appeared to be serious medical episode

It really helps us out. Ladies and gentlemen, there was a debate for New Jersey State Senate

And Curtis Bashaw, the Republican candidate, was facing off against Democrat Andy Kim

During this debate Bashaw freezes and just starts staring into space and it looks like he about to collapse His opponent Andy Kim comes over to him and asks him if he okay and wants to continue to which Bashaw says yes

And then seconds later, freezes again, and it just got really bad

His staff runs onto the stage and the host cuts to commercial. Campaigning for Senate, Congress, anything like that, is very taxing

Now, this was for state senate, but it's taxing. And first of all, I want to credit Democrat Andy Kim for forgetting about the debate and coming over to his opponent to check on his well-being

That is what America is supposed to be. That's what humanity is supposed to be

So massive credit to Mr. Kim for what he did there. It was a beautiful moment, actually, in my mind, in a horrible experience, one beautiful moment that's shown that said, hey, at the end of this, we're all humans

We're all God's children. and you know it made me think that no the campaign did release a statement but it made me think the stresses of running for any kind of political position president vice president Senate representative state mayor governor all those things

The pressures are so much. You have to travel. You have to do meet and greets. And you don't have time to really think about yourself

Well, that's what Basha's campaign said happened. they said that what happened

because he had not eaten that day and then what happened was

apparently after they went to commercial and he went backstage he had a candy bar or a power bar

and he had some kind of soft drink and then he was able to continue the debate

which makes me wonder if he has hypoglycemia or something to do with his blood sugar

you know I'm not a doctor but I wonder about that knowing that I know people that have

those issues So it was frightening though I will say that it was frightening and to see it happen you know it reminded me a lot of the Mitch McConnell thing when he froze in front of the cameras It kind of terrifying and this is a

younger man, you know, it's pretty much younger man. So I want you to watch the video and then let me
