CNN Host Anderson Cooper Gets Brutal Career News - Absolute Disaster

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and wow, CNN is

in big trouble, particularly host Anderson Cooper who just got maybe the most brutal

Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow

So Anderson Cooper has been in a rating slump for a while, I mean just getting brutal numbers

in the 8pm time slot on CNN which is the lead position, I mean that's the slot that

sets the tone for the rest of the night. As you recall, Tucker Carlson held that for Fox News and what it does is it bleeds into

other shows and helps get that rating boost that you need going forward

Well Anderson Cooper is not delivering it and it's so bad that on Friday he was defeated

soundly to the tune of about 33,000 viewers by Matt Gaetz on Newsmax who was filling

in for normal host Greg Kelly. Of course he got defeated by Matt Gaetz, Matt's a better host, Newsmax is a better channel

and you'd be right in my opinion. But what you have to take into consideration is that Newsmax is in significantly less homes

than CNN is. CNN is a worldwide brand, Newsmax is a very small conservative brand

So even just domestically in the United States, many more cable companies carry CNN, many

more satellite companies carry CNN than carry Newsmax. Now as Fox News is struggling in the ratings, this becomes an even bigger issue because

CNN has not been able to capitalize on that audience. Newsmax on the other hand has

They've seen significant increases in their bottom line and their viewership. So all that combines to be really good news for Newsmax but CNN should have had some benefit

If there are so many moderates, you know the word we're told all the time that most people

are moderates, most people are moderates, well if that's the case they should be flocking

to CNN from Fox News. But that's not what we're seeing happen

What we're seeing is actually the direct opposite. CNN is suffering some of its worst ratings in history which could explain why CNN was

like so happy that Tucker Carlson got fired. Maybe they thought two or three people who watched Tucker would tune into Anderson Cooper

but it doesn't appear that's the case. You know Anderson Cooper, he's one of the guys that plays it more straight at CNN

He's more down the middle, call them balls and strikes. He's definitely left leaning and you can tell that in his broadcasts but he is not as egregious

about it. He's not as forward about it as a lot of the other hosts and anchors on CNN are

That could actually be hurting him because in today's day and age in the media landscape

being closer to the middle is not a benefit to get you ratings

People want to hear their side, one side or the other. Right now MSNBC, Fox News have been just piling on, crushing Anderson Cooper in the ratings

for over a year. Now Newsmax is joining the fray and crushing Anderson Cooper

At what point does CNN say we've got to fire this guy and bring in somebody else

Maybe a conservative. Try and get some of that Tucker audience, right

What I do know is this is probably the worst news Anderson Cooper could have got and in
