After Release From Russian Prison - What Brittney Griner Did During National Anthem Stunned Everyone

And Brittany Greiner is home sweet home. And she's singing a different tune

And we really do appreciate it. Now, Brittany Greiner was playing in her first preseason game

and her first professional competitive game since the 2021 WNBA Finals. She took the court and she didn't have a great game

She only scored 10 points. And you got to remember, this is one of the best players in the league

before she got arrested in Russia. And she said she's a little bit rusty, which, you know, is predictable

And hopefully she gets her game back. I wish no harm upon her

Although, you know, I was really upset with her protest and all the athletes protests of the national anthem

We live in a great country. It's not perfect, but it's the best country on Earth

Those are not mutually exclusive statements. No country is perfect. The only world that could be perfect is one led by our Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ. That's it. No humans can make a perfect society can't happen

But we are the best country on Earth. And so the protest bothered me

Now, Greiner said her dad was a Vietnam veteran and also a law enforcement officer, and she, quote, meant no disrespect

But a lot of people felt disrespected, myself included. I feel disrespected every time the national anthem is protested

I don't like it. But as an American, I also realize that it's her right to protest

however she sees fit. And while I despise that type of protest

I will fight for a person's right to have that kind of protest

If you understand what I mean, because it's either freedom for all or freedom for none

But now that she's home, while it's astounding, what ten months in a Russian prison will do to you

because she's singing an entirely different tune about the national anthem now as evidenced by her postgame press conference

Let's take a look at that. Uh oh. Sorry about that. I'm sorry

Live shot coming up. I'm sorry. No, it was, like I said, it felt good when he went in

I was like, oh, thank God. All right, here we go. So I got the first one out the way

The next couple should be should be OK. To echo Josh's question, did things hit a little differently

when that national anthem played or just kind of the whole night throughout? No, I did

In the national anthem, it definitely hit different. Um, it's like when you go for the Olympics, you know

you're sitting there, you're about to get gold put on your neck

and flags going up and the anthem's going. It just hits different

But being here right now today, it definitely hits different. Oh, it hit differently, did it

Yeah, I imagine it did. I imagine after spending 10 months in a Russian gulag, it hits different

I imagine after we had a trade, a person known as the Merchant of Death

a notorious arms dealer to get you back, it hits different. And you should stand every time they play the national anthem

If you're walking down the street and you hear a high school band playing the national anthem, you should salute

You should have fireworks ready in your pocket to shoot off anytime you hear someone playing the national anthem or you see a flag

That's what you should be doing after what we did to get you back

I'm glad you're back. I don't want any Americans detained overseas, especially for what I consider to be a petty crime

I don't think you did anybody any harm. That being said, if you go to another country, it is important

to know what their laws are. Anyway, I'm glad she's back and I'm glad she's seen the light, so to speak

And I pray that we won't see any more of her kneeling or protesting a national anthem

You got to remember at one point back during the George Floyd protests

she said if they played the national anthem while she was on the court, she'd walk off

So, I mean, she was dead set against it. So this is a whole new Britney Griner

Let's pray it stays that way. And let's pray that other athletes maybe start to get it
