Hey everyone, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America

We have a big story for you today about a possible vice presidential pick for former
0:07
President Donald Trump should he choose to campaign again for president in 2024
0:13
But before we get started folks, I want to invite you to please, please follow our page Explain America on Facebook and also come chat with us at the
0:21

0:25
you know, everything about the country, everything that's going on, Republicans and Democrats and
0:29
the price of oil and gas. So come over to the Explain America Lounge and absolutely chat with
0:34
us. Also, please remember to like and share this video and leave a comment. We love to know what
0:39
you're thinking. And if you're on a platform where you can subscribe, please do that too
0:43
So what a lot of people are saying is a surprise name has emerged from the pack
0:49
to the top of former President Donald Trump's list as a possible vice presidential candidate
0:55
or vice presidential running mate for him in 2024. And it's based a lot
0:59
on the experience he had with former Vice President Mike Pence. See, Pence was never a Trump loyalist. He was always a party establishment guy
1:08
And Trump felt like Pence never showed any loyalty to him as a president. You know
1:13
you feel like your vice president should have your back. He felt Pence didn't have his back
1:17
So this time he's looking for somebody who will have his back if he chooses to run
1:22
And that person is really a shocking name even to me. And that's Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. And I'll tell you why it's shocking to me
1:32
She's not the only name that's been bandied about. Elise Stefanik has been bandied about
1:36
Some people have even suggested Ivanka Trump, which the former president shot down pretty
1:40
quickly. But Marjorie Taylor Greene is a very interesting case because, you know
1:45
if you're a MAGA warrior, right, then you love Marjorie Taylor Greene and you love
1:48
Donald Trump and you're all for that. But that's not going to help you reach the middle
1:53
See, Vice President Pence kind of helped reach the middle people, the people that weren't
1:58
you know, too far to the right. They weren't far to the left. They were just in the middle. And they weren't really totally on board with Trump, but they kind of felt like
2:06
you know, Pence was a safety net. This is full Trumpism. If Trump does this
2:11
if he picks Marjorie Taylor Greene, and there's a lot of time between now and then, but if he does, this is full Trumpism on the ballot
2:19
You have to wonder, I mean, it could be a recipe for success, especially when you think about the
2:24
prices of everything today, folks. The price of everything, inflation's going through the roof
2:29
On November 8th, if you don't vote Republican, I have to question your sanity. I'd have to
2:33
question the sanity of anybody who continues to vote for what we have right now. The prices of
2:40
anything aren't getting better. Inflation keeps getting higher. Gas prices keep getting higher
2:45
The guy in charge looks like he's lost. So I'm not sure there's anybody Trump could pick that
2:50
would drag him down at this point and not help him. Marjorie Taylor Greene, say what you want
2:55
but imagine her in the debates. I mean, she's a fighter. Can you imagine Harris versus Marjorie
3:00
Taylor Greene in the vice presidential debate? I mean, that would be worth the price of admission
3:04
alone, that battle, right? So it remains to be seen. Of course, Trump is said to believe
3:10
some people say that he believes that he really needs to have a woman on the ballot with him this
3:14
time, not another man. So it does leave very few people unless you go to the well and go pick Sarah
3:21
Palin again, or there's a ton of prominent Republican women that are big names, household
3:30
names. And Marjorie Taylor Greene is certainly a household name. Another one I would put on that
3:34
list is Lauren Boebert, I think is another household name and somebody who's definitely
3:40
full MAGA. So it's going to be an interesting, interesting presidential campaign that much we
3:47
know for sure. Hey folks, thank you so much for watching us here today at Explain America. Again
