Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and
0:04
Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Majority Leader. He's in a really really bad way folks, and it's just not getting better
0:13
We have new video footage of what just happened and an explanation from his staff that rings pretty hollow
0:20
Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe. Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow

So Mitch McConnell was answering questions of reporters today and he had another moment. I don't know what to call it because I'm not a medical professional. I have heard
0:41
medical professionals, you know, speculate that it could be a seizure, that it could be a stroke
0:46
But what I'm struck by because I don't know what it is, is how many times does this happen when the cameras are not rolling
0:52
I mean if it happened twice when the cameras were rolling, well then what happens when the cameras aren't rolling
0:58
What happens when nobody's allowed to see it? And I understand the trepidation here from the McConnell team and from Republicans and I'll explain that in just a second
1:07
But let's take a look at this video first and you tell me what you think
1:23
Did you hear the question Senator? Running for re-election in 2026? Yeah
1:30
All right, I'm sorry you all we're gonna need a minute. Okay
1:52
Somebody else have a question, please speak up. Now I understand the trepidation of taking McConnell out of the Senate completely. It would give the Democrats another seat
2:01
because Andy Beshear, the governor of Kentucky, is a Democrat. He would appoint a Democrat to take McConnell's place until such time as an election can be held
2:10
But this man does not need to be the leader of the Senate Republicans. Rand Paul could be the leader of the Senate Republicans
2:16
There are a lot of great choices who could be the leader of the Senate Republicans. Ted Cruz is another option
2:22
Marco Rubio is another option. There's a lot of options. This man's 81 years old and there is clearly an issue here. I don't know what it is
2:30
His office says that he just experienced lightheadedness, but that's twice in front of reporters. Two times
2:37
And not just two times because we don't know about the other times. We know he suffered a fall. We know he had contemplated retirement
2:44
To even ask him about running for re-election again is ridiculous in my opinion
2:48
He does not need another election to the United States Senate. He needs to be home and resting just like Dianne Feinstein
2:56
just like Joe Biden, the President of the United States, and just like John Fetterman
3:02
There needs to be cognitive tests for these people. Tell me if you agree. Let me know in the comments
3:07
Also, please remember to like, share, and subscribe. That really helps us out. I'm Carmine Sabia. This is Explain America
