Republican Presidential Candidate Takes Dirty Swipe At Trump - Runs Off Stage After Crowd Boos

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and wow, one Republican

presidential candidate just got shredded by a crowd in Iowa where he's trying to gain

votes because he made the mistake of taking a swipe at former President Donald Trump and

then he got booed off stage. It was fabulous to watch and we're going to see it here

So former Congressman Will Hurd, which I think is a great name for him considering most people

haven't heard of him, but Will Hurd was in Iowa to get the one or two or three or half

a dozen or a dozen votes that he might wind up getting and he was there to give a speech

Yeah I know, most people, you're probably watching this and you don't know who I'm talking about, that's fine

He is a very virulent anti-Trump Republican. Imagine Mitt Romney, okay, you think of Mitt Romney, that's kind of Will Hurd, kind of

the same cloth, same kind of guy. So very virulently anti-Trump and he gets up in front of this crowd of people and of

course if you want to win the Republican nomination, you do have to take votes away from former

President Donald Trump. He is by far the front runner in this thing but you got to do it in a nuanced way so that

you don't alienate Trump voters. Now Chris Christie, Will Hurd, some others have not taken this approach

Their approach is to bulldoze Trump and that's probably not going to work

So he gets up in front of this crowd and he tells them the reason he thinks Trump is running

for president. Let's take a look at it. One of the things we need in our elected leaders for them to tell the truth even if it's unpopular

Donald Trump is not running for president to make America great again

Donald Trump is not running for president to represent the people that voted for him

in 2016 and 2020. Donald Trump is running to stay out of prison and if we elect, I know, I know, I know, I

know, I know, listen, I know the truth, the truth is hard but if we elect Donald Trump

we are willingly giving Joe Biden four more years in the White House and America can't

handle that. God bless you and God bless America. Now when you look at a group of people who love Donald Trump and you say that to them

you're asking to be booed off stage and that's what he got. Absolutely ridiculous. Why? Why

If you really are in this to get votes, if you really believe you could be the next president

of the United States and I don't think Will Hurd is a stupid man, I don't think he believes

even one iota that he's going to become the next president of the United States

He's part of the just hit Trump with some punches faction of the Republican Party to

try and knock down our former president. That's all he is in my opinion

I don't believe that this man who is very learned, very smart to politics, believes

he has a snowball's chance in the mouth of a volcano of beating Trump or anybody else

for the Republican nomination. If the Republican nomination was him and Chris Christie, Chris Christie would get the nomination

That's how abysmal this guy is in terms of name recognition. What he is as a person, I don't know, but name recognition, he's nobody

That being said, he said what he said and he got booed off stage and rightfully so

You know, I believe in the old Reagan adage, thou shall not attack fellow Republicans

I like that. I think that's a good idea. You see Democrats take little weak shots at each other, but you don't see them give haymakers

like that. Only Republicans seem to form circular firing squads. I've never understood it and I'll probably never understand it

Will Hurd, I would say you probably killed your campaign there, but I'm not certain it
