Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and the ladies of The View have had, well
0:07
I guess a reality check that hit them like a punch in the face, and they're not liking it
0:13
Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe. Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow
0:21
So, the ladies of The View, they came across some polling, and the polling released by their parent company, ABC
0:32
this weekend showed former President Donald Trump with a commanding near 10-point lead
0:41
on President Joe Biden in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup for the presidency of the United States in 2024
0:50
As you can imagine, this was not met with smiles and cheering on ABC's The View
0:59
Instead, what happened was the women, they had a freak out, let's say. I'm trying to think of a nice way to say this
1:09
Alyssa Farrah Griffin, who used to work for Trump, she started it off by saying she believes
1:15
the poll was an outlier. She said she trusts that ABC did the correct polling, and that their polling experts are, you know
1:23
top-of-notch and above board, but she believes the poll is an outlier. However, she did warn Democrats
1:30
you cannot just assume you're gonna defeat Donald Trump. You cannot assume that he cannot win the presidency
1:35
especially when you have a president who's, you know, about two or three days older than dirt, and
1:43
falls down a lot, and can't figure out where he's going when he's walking off stage, and
1:48
and, and, and. You know, there's a lot of problems with President Joe Biden
1:53
Not to mention the economy, the inflation, which Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase said he expects to go even higher
2:01
He also expects interest rates to go even higher. When that stuff starts happening
2:06
when people meet that in their day-to-day lives, they don't care about your mean tweets or mean things that Trump might say. They care about results
2:14
They care about putting food on the table for their families. They care about taking care of themselves
2:21
Not saving democracy by not voting for somebody. Apparently saving democracy means you can only vote for one person
2:28
Now, Sunny Hostin, she, she and Anna Navarro, they took it a little more extreme
2:36
Anna Navarro said she thought that somebody at ABC had to be high, or the people taking the poll had to be high
2:43
because she can't fathom how Trump could have this kind of lead. And of course
2:49
Sunny Hostin, being the legal person, said, legal note, nobody was high during the taking of this
2:54
you know, on the ABC side during the taking of this poll. But I think it stands to
3:01
to encapsulate what's happening, I think, with a lot of the liberals, especially the coastal elites, as we call them
3:08
Not your people in, you know, the midsection of the country, but your coastal elites. They only have friends
3:14
who are liberals. They only have friends who despise Donald Trump. And they have friends who are rich
3:22
who aren't feeling the crunch of inflation. So in their world, in their minds
3:27
they can't see how anybody would vote for Donald Trump. They can't see it
3:31
Because they don't associate with people like you and me. They just don't
3:35
They associate in a bubble. They live in a bubble, and they associate with people who think and act and talk and walk and live like they do
3:44
So yeah, it's very hard for them to understand that the common person, the working person, has had it
3:52
is at their wits end with what's happening to this country. Sees, watches the news, sees the rampant crime
4:00
sees the flash mobs of looters ransacking stores, so stores are closing in certain urban areas
4:08
Literally, Target just announced the closing of a bunch of stores because of crime
4:13
Never in our lifetimes has it been this bad. This is like New York in the 70s, but across the country
4:21
It's gotten that bad. I would say New York in the 70s and 80s when I was a kid, and I was there
4:28
I've seen New York in those days. I know what it was like, but it's nationwide
4:34
It's dangerous, and I think people have had it. Democrats want to talk about these woke issues, these fringe issues
4:44
Who's using whose bathroom? Who's playing dress-up? Who's doing whatever? That's not what people care about
4:50
People care about what's happening in their lives, things that are affecting them and their families
4:56
So yeah, you better believe this poll, and you better believe a whole bunch more polls that are going to come out and tell you
5:01
the same thing. Democrats, you're in big trouble, and this might even be a ruder awakening for you than it was in 2016
5:09
I want to know what you guys think about this, so please leave it in the comments
5:13
