Hey everybody, this is Carmine Savia and welcome to Explain America, where the Democrats have
0:05
just got some really bad news about the Senate race and it could mean Republican control
0:12
of everything come November. But before we get started, please remember to like, to share, to comment and to subscribe
0:19
where applicable because we depend on that to keep bringing you the news every day, absolutely
0:25
free, for your enjoyment and information. It's the news the mainstream media doesn't want to share with you, but we will share
0:32
it with you because we're fearless. You know, recent polling started to suggest that Democrats were on the rise in both the
0:39
House and the Senate and they started having these fantasies about keeping the Congress
0:45
keeping the House of Representatives and keeping the Senate. Although the Senate still remains their best shot, they just got some really bad news in
0:53
the Senate seat. They absolutely have to keep, if they want any chance of maintaining control of Senate
1:00
And that, well, that comes from Georgia. Now you have Senator Raphael Warnock, you know, the Reverend who supports abortion
1:08
Anyway, you have Raphael Warnock and he had a pretty comfortable lead for a few months
1:13
I mean, he was, they were considering that to be almost a safe seat, which is interesting
1:18
because it wasn't a safe seat when he got it. And when he first got it, everybody said, you know, if the Republicans pick a strong
1:24
candidate, he's out of there. Well, Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell and others in the Republican party have hinted
1:31
that Herschel Walker, who was backed by former president Donald Trump, was not that strong
1:37
candidate that the Republicans needed. Well, that seems to have changed because there's been a recent six point swing folks, a six
1:47
point swing in the polling. What does that mean? It means Warnock lost four points and Walker gained four, two points, sorry
1:57
So that's a six point swing. And what does that mean? It means that now Herschel Walker is actually ahead of Warnock in the polling by three points
2:05
47 to 44. Now you might say three points, not a big deal
2:09
It's a huge deal when you look at what the polling was just a few months ago
2:14
So what could happen here? What likely will happen here unless somebody really pulls away, there's a libertarian candidate
2:23
also involved that's garnering about 4% of the vote. Now, that means that neither Warnock or Walker is likely to get 50% of the vote
2:33
Well, the deal in Georgia is you have to get 50% of the vote in order to be elected senator
2:41
So what could happen is this could become the most important seat in the nation because
2:46
after we know the results from all the other states, this state could be up for grabs in
2:51
an election between two candidates, presumably Walker and Warnock. And that would mean that everybody, every eye in the nation would be on this state
3:00
Tons of money and politicians from all across the country will be pouring into Georgia
3:07
And it's all because in the age group of 40 to 64, Warnock is trailing miserably
3:14
He's ahead with the elderly. He's ahead with the young people who are not traditionally people that go out to the polls
3:21
The young people talk a lot and they poll a lot, but to actually get their feet moving
3:24
and go to the polls, they don't really do that in the numbers other groups do
3:29
40 to 64, these are big time voters and they are for Walker by a lot
3:37
So Warnock's trailing badly with them. Still likely scenario is you're going to have a runoff election here and it could be the
3:43
most watched in the nation. We're going to keep you informed every step of the way
3:48
