BREAKING: Trump Vice Presidential Decision Shakes Campaign

One of the biggest topics of conversation in the political world for the past year, maybe more

is who would Trump pick to be his vice president. He can't pick Mike Pence. That bridge is burned to cinders

I don't think Pence would want to come back. Trump doesn't want him back, and we know that he's not even in contention, right

So you've heard a lot of names bandied about, about who the possible pick could be

and what the criteria would be for, you know, the next pick

There is something about this particular decision that strikes me. The decision being reported all over the media right now is that Trump has narrowed his choices to four people

and I'm going to get to those people in just a second, and I'll tell you who my pick is. If you've watched this channel for any amount of time, you know who my pick is

But the one thing that strikes me about this list, four people, all males, not one woman

And I thought Trump might go for a female. I thought he might want a female voice

Now, again, he could pick somebody outside this list. This is what's being reported right now in conservative media, though

This is being reported by people who are close to former President Trump

So this is not just some random list. It's not even my list, because right off the cuff

I'll tell you who I wouldn't have put on it as soon as I reach the names. But I thought you'd see Elise Stefanik maybe on here. I really did

I thought she was a strong contender for the vice presidency. Not saying I'd pick her, but I thought she would be a strong contender for it

Former Ambassador Nikki Haley, she didn't make the list. No surprise there

Trump said she wouldn't make the list. So the four names right now are Doug Burgum, and if you're saying who, exactly

That's the guy I would have not had on my list. He's a billionaire. He was a presidential candidate

He got, like, almost no votes. He brings nothing to the table

He doesn't help the former president in not even one demographic. Great guy. Smart guy. Capable, I think, in any other election year

Fine choice for vice president, but not in this election year. Another choice that was, I guess, mentioned on this list, Vivek Ramaswamy

No. Again, I love Vivek, by the way. Love him. Too young

The way Biden's age will be used against him, the one way, you know, he's too old

Vivek's age and experience will be used against him by Harris. No go

The next two names on the list I think are perfect. I'd be happy with either one

The first is Senator Marco Rubio. Young, vibrant, smart, good-looking, Hispanic. You know, these are all things that help with different demographics

Obviously, you know, I think he could get a lot of female votes, you know

He's very charismatic and very smart, and he knows what he's doing

Another guy who's young, charismatic, good-looking, and smart, and could help with another minority demographic rounds out the list

and he's my pick, Senator Tim Scott. I would, though, put Tim Scott and Marco Rubio on an even playing field as far as

if I believe they're capable of being president if the time came and they had to

If there was an emergency, could they be president? I think they both could be

The first two I don't feel that way about, but I do feel that way about Rubio and Scott
