It's hard to overestimate exactly what a game changer this is for the news industry as a whole

Fox News with Rupert Murdoch in charge Completely changed the game in the news industry

before Rupert and Fox News and News Corp came along The news was even more in our opinion left-leaning than it is today

There was really no place for conservatives to go to get the news that they want it

With the side of the story they want it to hear Rupert changed all of that by bringing Fox News to the fore and not only starting Fox News

But showing that there was an audience for it That was even bigger than the liberal media market by taking Fox News and making it the number one

News network in the country by miles. It's not even close in his letter to staff

Murdoch did not cite his age 92 years old. He did not cite that as one of the reasons for him stepping down and becoming chairman emeritus

You know chairman emeritus means I'm still here, but I'm not handling the day-to-day operations

It's kind of like a professor emeritus. They're there, but they're not there if that kind of makes sense

And he said that he you know, he trusts that the network is growing. It's moving into the right place

And that they continue to make strides towards, you know Becoming an even bigger network and they have big plans for the future and that he trusts his son

Lachlan and the people in charge to handle that now Lachlan, of course thanked his dad for decades of service to the company and

You know so that you know, the path is bright. The future is bright for Fox News

I think Lachlan has been making a lot of the behind-the-scenes decisions for a long time

So I don't think you're gonna see much change to the Fox product than you've already seen

I think he's been calling a lot of the shots as his dad kind of has ceded control and

And you know in an in a in an industry especially in a world today where so much of

Everything is run by people who are very very old including the president of the United States

Mitch McConnell Dianne Feinstein Nancy Pelosi these people in their 80s and 90s and

I think you know Rupert was one of these people and I think in a day and age when

When that's going on it's refreshing to actually see somebody say hey look

Maybe it's time for me to step aside and let the younger generation take control

I think that's what Rupert Murdoch did here and you have to understand that Rupert Murdoch is a genius

The man is a genius and I think he knew the right time for him and for his company

I think he knew that he could trust Lachlan to make the proper decisions and

I think that Fox News will forge ahead. I think Lachlan probably has a lot of young fresh good ideas

I think they'll forge ahead and they'll continue to be strong He learned from his dad and his dad is
