Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America with tragic breaking news
0:06
Longtime CNN personality dead, no apparent cause. Before we get started please make sure you like
0:14
comment, share and subscribe. Those little things really help us out and they help our
0:20
channel continue to grow. Speculation as to cause of death of course has been running rampant
0:27
after CNN announced the death of somebody who was beloved by just not only their network
0:34
but people on other networks like Fox News. That person, one of the only very few pro-Trump voices
0:43
at CNN, Republican Strategist Communications Director Alice Stewart. Ms. Stewart had previously worked for the campaigns of Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Rick Santorum and Representative
0:56
Michelle Bachman. The news is absolutely tragic. If you did watch CNN you knew she was a bright
1:03
shining light on a network that can be very dark for Republicans. She was one of the only
1:10
Republicans even on the network who are sparing to support President Trump. In fact I can't think
1:17
of another one that actually supports Trump and calls themselves a Republican on that network
1:23
She was sadly found deceased outside of her home and well no not was it was close to her home. I
1:30
shouldn't say outside of home, it was close to her home. The police don't know right now what's going
1:36
on but they say that no foul play is suspected and it looks like there was some type of medical
1:42
emergency and she just didn't get the help she needed in time. We're very sad to report this
1:48
Alice was a great person and really great at her job and we send our condolences and our love to
1:57
her family and friends and may her soul rest in peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
2:03
God the Father and the Holy Spirit in heaven. I want to know what you guys think about this story
2:09
If you have any theories, when you like, comment, share and subscribe. I'm Carmine
2:14
Sabia for Explain America. We love you guys. God bless you. Take care everybody
2:25
We have some very sad news to report to you and I'm very sorry that I have to tell you this
2:30
CNN political commentator and Republican strategist Alice Stewart has passed away. Many of you know
2:36
her. She's been a staple on this network, participating in many political panels
2:41
bringing us deep insight into politics. You'll remember she was a former communications director
2:46
for Senator Ted Cruz. She worked with Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachman
2:50
just to name a few. She also hosted a podcast with her friend and Democratic strategist Maria Cardona
2:56
called Hot Mics from Left to Right. Alice and I both got our start in Arkansas television and
3:02
local news. When I was coming up as an intern, she was working there. As we both made our way
3:07
to CNN, she was always available with an encouraging smile or a text as I climbed my
3:13
way up the ladder here. I know that personally I miss her very much and I'm very sad to hear this
3:18
news. She brought us all so much information and insight and was such a valuable piece of
3:24
the team here at CNN. We are all processing this news as it was so sudden. Joining us now on the
3:31
phone is CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. Wolf, hi. This is a terrible thing to have to report to everyone
3:40
Alice was such not only a wonderful insight and brain and asset here at CNN, but she was also just
3:47
a good person, a person whose faith was so much at the center of her life. You're absolutely right
3:54
Jessica. She was really, really a very special woman. She was always an excellent, excellent
4:00
friendly colleague. She was always there for us whenever we needed her, including yesterday when
4:05
she was on with me and Maria Cardona. I know she had a special relationship, a good working
4:11
relationship with Maria as well. They were very good friends and colleagues. I'm so sad, but I
4:17
heard the news just a little while ago. It just broke me up. I'm very, very sad to hear it because
4:23
we will miss her greatly. She's just a wonderful, wonderful friend, a wonderful colleague, a great
4:28
person. Going back to all your memories, going back many, many years back itself
4:35
Absolutely. And you know, Wolf, and I would think you probably feel the same way
4:39
You know, when you're in television, you have the relationship with each other on television
4:45
but then there's, of course, the breaks and the green room and you see each other in the hallway
4:51
And what was wonderful
