Why does your team need its own jargons? Well for one, it helps to communicate quickly with your team, and two, it’s fun to have your own internal language! Here are 4 well-known jargons we use regularly with the team for breaking down #eWaste efficiently. 1. Chunkies - these are chunky little hard drives that have great #gold pins on it. My team knows not to break down any of these hard drives that are the larger SATA drives that go into desktops. 2. Further breakdown pile - If I throw anything in here, my team knows to further test it - for example to see how long it takes to break it down, or if it’s an item we’ve never seen before, to learn what’s inside it. 3. Gold Corner BGA bin - It takes us about 3 months of collecting computer circuit boards and saving up gold corner #BGA chips to fill up our 5 pound bin. 4. Dull gold - We usually prefer dull gold from #vintage boards, as they yield the best quality and quantity of gold.
