Prices on hard drive boards are really good right now - there’s a lot of good gold and material that people want, so we get a great price on it ($16.50 per pound). But the labor costs and precision tools don’t allow us to use power tools. So you've got a long way to make a pound - almost 30 minutes of manual labor. We don’t mess with laptop hard drives as they weigh so little - we’ll throw the whole hard drive in its own gaylord; and it’s not a bad payday in a couple of months. The only exceptions are desktop hard drives - they’re easier to take off, are chunkier and weigh a lot more, so you need a lot less of them to make a pound.
