Jenkins and myself sat down one day to

write and uh we were just kind of

noodling around hammering out some ideas

and you know, we kind of landed on I I

wanted to write a lot for this album uh

because I wanted to write a lot about my

story, you know, wanted to make this

album very personal to me, not just

songs that I found that I like. Um but I

wanted to write a lot of this, wanted to

be a part of the message, uh start to

finish. And and so we started writing

this day. Knowing that, knowing I wanted

to be uh to write a lot of this about

me, um we started to to write this

simple message of always having to

struggle, you know, from the time I was

a little kid to the time, you know,

presently speaking. So, uh and I think I

don't think I'm unlike anybody else. Uh

just happen to be

a with a pen and a and a piece of paper

and a and a guitar in my hand, able to

write it down. So kind of we're all

fighting on a daily basis some kind of

fight you know and uh throughout my life

I've had to overcome struggles many

times but I kept on fighting and I

always will keep on fighting I hope and

um and I think that's the message to

everybody else you know to keep uh

fighting the good fight you know be on

the right side of things fight for the

good reasons fight the good fight as the

Bible tells us Paul tells us you know

love each other and fight the good

fight. And um that's what the song is.
