DAY 92 | The Book of 1 Samuel: Chapter 25-27

The book of 1 Samuel tells the story of Israel's transition from a group of loosely connected tribes to a united monarchy under King Saul, and later King David. It begins with the birth of the prophet Samuel, who becomes a leader and judge in Israel during a time of corruption and disunity. Samuel anoints Saul as the first king of Israel, but as Saul's reign progresses, he becomes disobedient to God and is rejected as king. David, a young shepherd, is chosen as his successor and becomes a beloved and successful king, despite facing many challenges and enemies.
