0:07
hi everyone and kler here with a new
0:09
Mini album tip for you so my tip today
0:12
is to take a card template and use it to
0:15
make a mini album so you take your car
0:18
template make it bigger and then use it
0:21
to create a mini album let's see how so
0:24
we're going to start on the long side
0:27
and score it at three
0:30
and at
0:34
nine and then we are going to turn our
0:37
card stock and score it at 3
0:42
in all the way from the top to the
0:46
bottom and now we're going to fold on
0:50
all our score
0:52
lines and burnish them well and make
0:55
sure it's all
0:57
aligned that you didn't make a mistake
1:02
and once you have that done you need to
1:05
make seven more pieces exactly like this
1:09
because for our project for the giant
1:11
never ending card we need eight
1:15
identical
1:17
pieces so I'm just making sure that I
1:19
have
1:20
eight and then we can go ahead and start
1:23
assembling our
1:25
card so we're going to take two pieces
1:28
align them vertically one next next to
1:30
the
1:31
other like
1:33
this and
1:35
then we're going to apply
1:39
glue to all
1:42
four corners all four
1:46
squares in the corners and make sure
1:49
that you apply the glue on all the
1:52
surface but not on the score
1:56
lines because then if we have glue on
1:59
the score line
2:01
we won't be able to fold the card later
2:04
and
2:05
then the whole thing is not going to
2:09
work so just go up to the score line
2:12
without actually applying any glue on
2:16
it then bring two more
2:19
pieces and attach them
2:23
horizontally one on the top and one on
2:26
the
2:28
bottom and of course you need to align
2:31
them with the two pieces
2:35
underneath align them with the corners
2:38
make making sure that it's all glued
2:43
straight then the bottom piece the same
2:48
way by the way it doesn't
2:51
matter where the
2:54
folds if they're facing up or down it
2:57
doesn't matter at this point
3:01
just burnishing the corners making sure
3:03
it's all glued straight and strong next
3:08
we're going to turn it to the right
3:11
quarter of a turn and open it in the
3:13
middle and make sure that when you open
3:15
it do it very
3:17
carefully while folding it to the right
3:21
direction like
3:25
this and we're going to attach our two
3:28
next pieces
3:31
just want to make sure that it opens
3:34
properly okay so now we're going to
3:38
apply glue again we're going to start
3:41
with the four corner
3:45
squares and I remind you again not to
3:49
apply any glue to the score
3:54
lines and like always I recommend using
3:58
liquid glue especially here when you
4:00
need to align
4:02
everything make sure that it's in the
4:05
right
4:08
place and we're also going to apply glue
4:12
to the two large squares in the
4:19
center so the top one and the bottom one
4:24
just apply the glue and then again bring
4:27
two pieces and attach them
4:32
horizontally aligning them with all the
4:35
edges and all the corners and making
4:37
sure that it's all straight and in
4:42
place this is very important because
4:45
later the card needs to
4:48
move so it's important that everything
4:54
aligns next we are going to turn it
4:58
again
5:00
quarter of a
5:03
turn to the right or to the left it
5:06
doesn't really matter just making sure
5:08
that everything is completely
5:11
glued so again quarter of a turn to the
5:16
right and open in the
5:19
center again making sure that all the
5:22
folds open properly and are burnished
5:26
well for easier movement
5:31
then we can go ahead and attach two more
5:39
pieces so now we're going to apply the
5:42
glue starting again from the four
5:48
corners and this time we're going to
5:52
go on all the little squares on the
5:56
side and the other side as well
6:06
so just make sure that you don't apply
6:08
too much glue we don't want the paper to
6:12
curl or to
6:15
wrinkle so I continue with applying glue
6:20
to all the sides and later next we're
6:25
going to apply glue to the center as
6:27
well so basically on this piece
6:30
we're applying glue on
6:34
everything but again without going over
6:38
the score
6:45
lines so in the center in the two large
6:48
squares in the center you can go over
6:51
the score lines in the center there are
6:53
two horizontal score lines but not on
6:56
the
6:57
sides these are the two
7:00
horizontal pieces that we're going to
7:03
attach and align with all the edges like
7:06
we did before one on the top and one on
7:08
the
7:11
bottom and these are basically our two
7:15
last pieces that we're
7:18
attaching just making sure that
7:21
everything is
7:22
glued
7:25
properly next I'm just going to work the
7:28
card a little bit to make sure that it
7:31
knows where it needs to
7:33
go and now we are ready
7:37
to cover it with all the cover papers
7:40
and again you have all the measurements
7:41
for those as well in the link under the
7:45
video in the description there is a link
7:47
that you can click on and download all
7:49
the measurements and the
7:51
instructions so basically we have two
7:54
types of cover
7:56
papers we have squares and we have
7:58
rectangles
8:01
and for the rectangles we have vertical
8:04
rectangles and horizontal rectangles
8:06
like here so if you want to
8:10
use papers that have a Direction with
8:14
writing or any other pattern that the
8:18
direction matters you need to take that
8:20
into
8:22
account so you need to make sure that
8:26
you cut the papers in the right
8:27
direction
8:30
and of course since we're using
8:32
different patterns and different colors
8:34
I recommend at least that's what I did
8:37
to use papers from the same
8:40
line from the same paper collection so
8:43
you'll have matching colors and
8:48
patterns I'm using Graphic 45 imagine
8:51
paper collection but of course you can
8:54
use whatever you have in your
8:56
stash so I wanted to show you how to
8:58
cover
9:01
the side with the
9:02
horizontal papers and now I'm going to
9:06
cover one side that has the vertical
9:12
rectangles so you can see how I do
9:17
that and it's fun to use papers that
9:23
have a pattern on them that is not that
9:26
has a direction like a person a face or
9:30
writing or something like that makes it
9:33
a little bit more interesting especially
9:35
when you open the
9:36
card to all its
9:41
possibilities so I'm going to finish
9:44
covering this side and then I'm going to
9:46
show you how the car turned
9:52
out you can see that all the colors
9:56
match since I'm using the same paper
9:58
collections so
10:00
that is a
10:05
plus last four
10:12
pieces so you can add photos instead of
10:16
cover papers or you can add writing
10:19
journaling on them if you want to give
10:21
it to someone as a
10:23
gift and this is how the card looks
10:27
after I covered all the sides I I really
10:29
really love how this project turned out
10:33
really cool project not very difficult
