Avoid "Last Supper" Binge Before Your Strategy Call
Feb 20, 2023
After many years of hosting Strategy calls, I finally had an idea to address a problem many people have before their Strategy Call.
"Last Supper" bingeing.
Last Supper bingeing is the idea that a 'binge part' of you thinks it's going to be the last time it can binge, so it takes over and makes you binge soon before your strategy call.
This binge part has memories from:
- childhood
- previous attempts at dieting
- your other 'restrictive part' trying to control it
This 'binge part' is not able to see that I am not trying to stop it from bingeing.
From this 'parts' perspective, it's trying to protect you, so why stop bingeing?
It's important that we can 'walk a mile in this part's shoes' so that it knows we understand it, and how it's trying to protect you.
For example, it's making you binge because it's trying to protect you from:
- uncomfortable feelings (afraid you can't handle them)
