"As I worked on my rusted cab trim, I decided to take pictures and video of all the processes that I used to remove, powered coat, and re-install the trim. I like many others, have dug into this almost blind. The information out there about this is very bare bone and does not really show what it is totally about. I tried to document each step that I took in order to make a comprehensive video for others to use if they decide to fix their rusty trim piece. This video took at least twice the time as it took to do the actual work on the cab but I thought it would be worth it to help out others that have this problem. I had a file on my computer of over 280 pictures and about one hour of video that I took while doing my trim. I hope I made all of the process clear and informative but if not, just contact me and I will be able to help you out. If you have this rusted trim and do not feel that you could do this work. I would say that you could hire a handy man and with the help of this video he should be able to get the job done for you. Like I say in the video, it took me about 20 hours to get it done. I know some members are touching the trim up yearly, and it looks good. But if the rust is in the inside it is eating it's way out. It might take some more years but sooner or later it will rust through the trim. This piece of trim is critical in holding the fiberglass overhead to the cab. It is not just there to make things look good."
