Stop Buying ELITE BMX Bikes

Uh, Oompa Loompa 12 says, what's your opinion on elite BMX? I love ranting about elite BMX

because it comes up a lot. And I think you guys should know. So elite, I don't like elite. I think it's cool that they're providing half decent bikes for a

that they don't really do anything for BMX. And what I mean by that is when you look at Sunday

you look at kink, you look at fit, you look at any of these other brands, they pay riders

they put on events, they do a lot for the BMX community. So anytime you buy a fit frame and

that money goes into fit, but then they're paying riders, they're doing all these things with that

money And that cool When you buy an elite bike that goes to elite and they don spend that on riders They don spend that on events They don put it back out in the community And so what would happen if every company had that business model is that we be spending money on BMX but it wouldn be getting reimbursed back into BMX

So it would essentially kill the sport. That's my opinion on it. So, so anyway, long story short

I don't support elite because if everyone was like that, we wouldn't have the sport that we

have today. So it is good to spend a little bit of extra money on those core BMX brands who are

putting on road trips and sponsoring riders and doing all those things. And so, yeah, that's my

take on it. There's a handful of other bikes like Mafia. I think Mankind, that's the one that people

have been asking me about. They're the same business model. Very affordable because they go

direct to consumer. They don't have to have a dealer. They can put them on Amazon. They can

put them wherever they want because there's no restrictions from the dealers, but they're not

doing anything for the sport. So they're going to make a good amount of money and hurt the economy

but that's kind of BMX's fault for not moving in that direction. That's a whole different story

but that's my thought on it
