Jonny Builds: I Built The ULTIMATE D&D Gaming Table

Jun 14, 2026
I spent 3 months building the ultimate Dungeons & Dragons gaming table, and it nearly broke me. My client Dusty asked for a simple 5x6 table with cup holders and outlets. Instead, I built a fully immersive D&D gaming table with a recessed play area, flip-down player stations, programmable LEDs, wood-carved dragons, a castle base made from carved foam, and seven dice-rolling drawers. Along the way I assembled a fellowship of makers, battled analysis paralysis, ruined the nicest veneer I've ever owned, redesigned one hinge nine times, and raced a deadline to play my very first game of D&D. This was the hardest, most rewarding build of my life. I hope you enjoy the journey & please consider subscribing!
