Well, hi everybody. It's David George Brook, that gratitude guy, on behalf of the Columbia
0:06
Tower Club with the Monday message for this Monday or this week rather for 2020, April
0:13
20th. So today we've got a lot going on this week, this week, I should say. So there's
0:17
several online presentations. There's today starting Monday through Friday is our total
0:22
digital marketing seminar hosted by our own Roger Starkweather. There's a little flyer
0:28
on it. It's Monday through Friday from 10 o'clock an hour each day. Should be really
0:32
excellent with digital marketing. On Tuesday, 428, Daphne Michaels has her webinar, The
0:39
Together Factor, which is the secret to thriving communities. And that's at 1 p.m. on Tuesday
0:45
the 28th. On Wednesday, April 29th, yours truly has a seminar called Gratitude Creates Peak
0:52
Performance, How Gratitude Helps You Conquer Fear and Anxiety. Gosh, that's a large picture
0:57
in my head. That's going to be on Wednesday, the 29th. But if you're interested with any
1:03
webinars of your own you'd like to be have promoted through CTC, contact Brittany and
1:08
she'll help you get it set up. It's a very easy, easy process. Also from our kitchen
1:12
this week, many, many food options. We have meal kits, hot food, beer and wine, of course
1:18
And remember, it's only a two hour advance notice for that. Now Thursdays are a big day
1:23
And finally, on the biggest day of the week, rather, we have our weekly live happy hour
1:28
at 430, which is hosted on Zoom. And this week, we have a very special guest of honor
1:33
Our chief marketing officer, Meg Tolson will be on the Zoom call. So a great, great week
1:38
to hop on and get some information from corporate. Also, there's on Thursday, the Mixology Minute
1:45
with MJ. There's also the Quarantine Cooking with Chef. And there's also the 5 p.m. Instagram
1:51
Live with Jesse Rhodes, something we started a couple weeks ago. It's been great. So also
1:56
a couple of you have asked me about the Gratitude podcast I've been doing. And I've been doing
2:01
several of them and I did some with people in the club. And it's a little podcast or
2:05
a Gratitude podcast interview. So far, I've interviewed Michael Anderson, Marianna Varesse
2:10
Jody Lentz and Brittany Flowers. And so if you'd like to see those, you can go to my
2:14
YouTube, go to YouTube, go to my channel, David George Brook, and you can see that the
2:19
ones that are already on there, as I mentioned, and others. And also, if you're interested
2:23
in participating yourself, I'm just getting people's feelings about how they're handling
2:27
the pandemic and how gratitude is a part of that. You can just email me at David at that
2:32
Gratitude guy and we can set something up. So lastly, I have the Gratitude Tip of the
2:36
Day. Last week, we talked about gratitude journals. This week, I'm going to talk about
2:40
just the science of gratitude. Some of the things that they've proven, the physiology
2:45
the impact it has on your body. It says grateful people are more likely to take care of their
2:49
health, exercise more often and schedule regular checkups. Appreciating what we have
2:54
measurably improves our relationships, our life satisfaction, our health, our sleep, and it improves our physical health and leading to fewer aches and pains, lower blood pressure
3:05
and less depression. So a lot of really, really great reasons why gratitude affects you mentally
3:11
and physically. So that's the Gratitude Tip for this week. I look forward to seeing you
3:15
all next Monday for the next Monday message. Thanks a lot. Have a great day and remember
3:20
be grateful and never quit
