week two Lions victory against the Washington commanders Before we kick this off, we got to start this off the right way

Because I've been waiting to do this, and now I can't. Let's toast our glasses up to the Lions in an awesome victory

All right, let's keep going. The Lions had a lot of odds stacked up against them this week

This was a trap game. It had a trap game written all over it. This was not going to come out easy

And for a lot of the second half, it wasn't easy. But to me, I'm buying so much stock into this victory by the Lions

And it's not because they played a perfect game. It's not because everything went their way

It's because they did what they needed to do to get this victory in whatever kind of fashion it took

How many times have we seen in our Lions fandom history with this franchise where they fight till the end and they show their grit till they're zero zero on the clock and all that coach speak type stuff

How many times have we seen that, but then they shoot themselves in the foot and end up as a loser at the end of the game

So in this game where things didn't necessarily go perfect throughout the first quarter through the fourth

the lions were the battles, the storms, the adjustments, and they still were able to come out with a victory

We've seen the lions stick to the same game plans. run with the same script and stick to the things that they think can get them a victory instead of adjusting on the fly and making sure that they get a victory And to me I got to give all the props in the world to this team for what they did

And Jared Goff came out behind a riddled offensive line and he played his behind off the

scored 14 more points in the second half, and had an amazing connection with a breakout star at wide receiver

My man, Amon Ross St. Brown. Listen, we knew after hard knocks that this man had a chip on his shoulder

we knew he had a lot to fight forward to prove in the NFL, and he looks as great as advertised from what we saw in the second half of

last season. He looks like an absolute star. I keep calling him Golden Tate Jr

And he looks just, to me, he looks more dynamic than Golden Tate. He has that possession

receiver qualities in and out of his brakes. He's very slippery, very good with running after

the catch. But he looks a lot more dynamic at this point than Golden Tate. And I can't wait

that Jameson Williams has not even took a snap yet on this team He didn even see the field day guys How much more dangerous can this offense be with a speedster like Jameson Williams burning the outside

It was supposed to be DJ Shark. He's had a pretty rough start in the season in the first couple weeks

He was okay last week against the Eagles, but so far he hasn't really been as good as advertised

We saw the three sacks in the first half. We saw him battle through a bad leg injury where he was literally limping through the rest of the game

But he was able to get home and he was able to create a lot of mismatches and help for his other defensive libyn, tandem teammates

We saw Charles Harris get off. Kaminsky had a really nice showing as well

I believe O'Quara got some snaps finally after spending a lot of time. on the injury reserve, and we're seeing the productiveness of the defensive line

translate to the secondary as well. Jeff Okuda is playing the best football of his career

and I don't think it's strictly because of just him. Now, great, he's doing well with his technique, being physical with receivers

and some damn good receivers he's been playing against. With Devante Smith, Terry McLaren, he saw a little bit of AJ Brown against the Eagles

He's been playing against some pretty stellar competition. but I think it a result of the defensive line helping create pressure and allowing them to play a little bit more loose with the receivers that they playing against I believe last week was a little bit more of a testament of having to deal with a mobile quarterback of a Jalen Hertz But this week you got to see a stationary guy

in Carson Woods, and they were able to take advantage of him. I think they sacked him six times

They really put a lot of pressure in his face. Didn't let him get real comfortable in the first half

got a little bit more relaxed and found a rhythm in the second half. But again, it doesn't have to be perfect

The defense was able to get hold with Charles Harris making plays. Rodrigo making some stops

Anzolodi had a nice game. Tracy Walker, I believe, had an intercept. It was a lot of things that we saw that was extremely encouraging with this team

And they needed it in the worst way. after starting 0 and 1, and you got a division foe coming in week 3 with the Minnesota Vikings

Lions needed this win in every way, shape, or form, and I can't be more proud of them
