Trini Venezuelan Food Marathon!! Inside Little Venezuela!!
Mar 11, 2026
I m standing just 7 miles from Venezuela, at the southernmost tip of Trinidad, where the distance looks small on a map but feels heavy in real life. From Cedros, often called Little Venezuela, to Chaguanas, San Fernando, and Port of Spain, this is a road trip through food, migration, and lived experience. I m eating iconic Venezuelan dishes like arepas, cachapas, teque os, empanadas, patacones, and corn-based street food that travels wherever Venezuelans go. Corn isn t just food here, it s memory, survival, and identity. Trinidad is home to an estimated 45,000 Venezuelan migrants and refugees, and this video is about listening. To Venezuelans building new lives, to Trinidadians living closest to the border, and to fishermen, families, and street vendors affected by politics, borders, and uncertainty. Food is the entry point. The story goes deeper. If you care about real food tours, Venezuelan cuisine, Trinidad and Tobago, and travel that looks beyond headlines, this one matters. This is Venezuelan food in Trinidad. Let s eat and listen.
