In this episode, we’re exploring this unique destination just 4 miles from the center of Nairobi. Not only is it the country’s first national park, but it’s also the world's only protected area situated within a capital city. But even with its proximity to the hustle and bustle of the city, Nairobi National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalo, zebras, baboons, and cheetahs. It’s also a successful rhino sanctuary that’s home to the elusive black rhinoceros. It was established back in 1946 and has been open ever since!
