But Maasai Mara is not only a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. It's also a place of cultural significance, as it's home to the Maasai people, who have lived in harmony with nature for centuries. In this video, my guides at Kumbukumbu tours and I will take you on an epic journey through Maasai Mara, exploring its stunning landscapes and experiencing thrilling wildlife sightings. Oldarapoi Mara Camp offers seven luxury tented cabins, a pool, and several activities. Mine was a family tent with two bedrooms and a bathroom! FIRST GAME DRIVE: We were lucky to spot giraffes, buffalos, a hyena, hartebeest, and an Egyptian goose in the open savannah. We also saw a beautiful older male lion walking past our vehicle. We enjoyed a sundowner with Tusker Lager under a tree and headed back to the lodge for a buffet-style dinner. DINNER: They offered celery soup as a starter, and then tomato rice, trio vegetables, chana dal, potato chips, grilled chicken, and roast lamb for main courses. I got a little bit of everything! They also offered fresh fruit and mocha cake for dessert. Dinner ended with an amazing performance by members of the Maasai Tribe! SECOND GAME DRIVE: On our second game drive, we saw warthogs, an African elephant with her baby, buffaloes, antelopes, topis, hyenas, an injured male lion, a herd of zebras, wildebeests, and a majestic herd of elephants. We also saw two male cheetahs, an ostrich, hippos, and crocodiles at a river. We witnessed a rare black rhino crossing the border into Tanzania and saw lions mating, which was the highlight of our safari experience.
