Design Thinking 101: Empathy Mapping

In the early stages of the design process, before requirements are gathered, empathy maps are most useful. Researchers can use the mapping process to summarize their observations and discover deeper insights into their needs. In addition to guiding building personas, empathy maps can be used to connect personas to concept deliverables.
