NASDAQ published a storey titled, Could Quant's Overledger Prevent Another Wormhole Incident? on February 4th. The article discussed current news of one of the largest cryptocurrency hacks in history. A bad actor seized almost $300 million in assets as a result of the exploit, which took place through the Wormhole bridge. A hacker was able to use a set of smart contracts on the bridge to validate a fraudulent transaction on Wednesday. The hacker was able to steal 120,000 bundled ETH worth $326 million in the end. One-third of the wealth has remained on Solana, where it is being mingled with other assets, while the other two-thirds has been transferred to the Ethereum network. The article went on to explain how the use of Quant's Overledger service can reduce the danger of bridge exploitation and, as a result, the likelihood of crypto assets being stolen. Quant is able to instigate interoperability procedures, allowing every network on the planet to communicate with one another. It intends to accomplish this using Overledger rather than bridges. Overledger allows users to connect to blockchain networks instantly and seamlessly.
