How Should We Experience Art?

how would you say people currently

experience art within a museum

enironment I think that the museum

construct set up in the 18th century

understood art as property and the

museum is this sort of ownership

structure that owns the property on

behalf of an audience Absolut the public

benefit from getting access to it I

think that's the that's such a great way

of putting it there's such a big debate

around the British Museum and stuff

hosting artworks like that so what are

you doing to change that narrative well

I'm very interesting change of that

narrative because I think that if you

understand property it denies the

emotional power of what it can do with

people lives it creates a sort of

atmosphere that there's some sort of

authority that tells you how you should

experience this and that rules out like

half country most people don't like

going into museums true um and also it's

difficult to justify owning other

people's stuff if that's the starting

point of why you exist is not maybe the

best one
