hey guys if you've been following me
0:02
lately on Instagram you must have been
0:04
noticing that I've been posting lots and
0:06
lots of pan pizzas today I'm going to be
0:09
sharing that recipe with you so let's
0:11
get started right now so I'll be showing
0:18
you your basic recipe for the dough so
0:21
I'll be making three types of pizzas
0:22
today one's gonna be your white pizza
0:25
was gonna be a basic Margherita the last
0:27
one would be a pepperoni pizza so today
0:30
I'll be using double-o flour which is
0:32
basically the grade of how fine the
0:35
flour is ground too and turns out
0:37
double-o is one of the finest grades of
0:40
flour and I've noticed when I've been
0:43
making my pizza's pick double-o flour
0:44
compared to regular all-purpose or bread
0:47
flour that the crust turns out much
0:50
nicer so in case you cannot find
0:52
double-o flour be sure to use some bread
0:56
flour I would avoid using all-purpose
0:58
flour I find that the flavor of the
1:01
crust is not as delicious with just
1:05
regular old for purple actually we use
1:07
olive oil to make pizza dough I'm trying
1:11
to make my pizza close to the ones at
1:14
Pizza Hut I will enjoy Pizza Hut
1:17
I've heard that they use a blend of
1:19
olive oil and butter which I will be
1:23
replicating in this recipe in hopes to
1:26
get in close I find the pizzas are super
1:28
delicious and have a really nice crusty
1:32
crust and I think you're gonna love this
1:34
so today I'll be using a 6 inch cost
1:37
Ivan pan so this recipe will give you
1:40
three dough balls for three pizzas and
1:42
in case you're using a pan with which is
1:45
bigger than 6 inches let's say 10 inches
1:48
then two of these dough balls that make
1:52
six inch pizzas would combine to make
1:55
one 10 inch pan pizza be sure to keep
1:58
that in mind and do that math based on
2:00
the size of cast iron pan which you have
2:03
at home so first add in your yeast
2:07
into a bowl so now add about six
2:09
tablespoons of warm water what is about
2:14
210 Fahrenheit and mix well to activate
2:19
the yeast stir starts to get funny now
2:24
let this rest for about five more
2:26
minutes so I have the floor in the board
2:29
of my KitchenAid mixer I'm gonna add in
2:31
our yeast now be sure to not throw this
2:37
away to start mixing on low speed add
2:43
some more water to myself add some more
2:47
warm water in that bowl that the yeast
2:49
make sure to give it a mix and add it
2:53
back
2:55
you have all that good yeast in our
3:00
pizza dough after a minute add in the
3:03
butter and knead for one to two more
3:06
minutes to come together want the dough
3:13
to be nice
3:15
[Music]
3:18
stop your mixer and added about a
3:21
teaspoon of salt and start mixing for
3:26
one normal the dough is now nice and
3:34
smooth looks pretty good now I'm just
3:37
gonna put this dough and my bowl here
3:40
and then cover this the moist paper
3:44
towel or kitchen towel and let this rest
3:47
for two hours so after you have let it
3:51
risen I would need it put your hands for
3:58
about a minute and then we're gonna
4:04
portion this out into three equal sized
4:07
dough balls so while leading it you
4:12
wanna drag it off put it back in rotate
4:18
it a bit so you can either way it or
4:21
kind of roll it into a ten sort of line
4:26
cut it into three equal halves this is a
4:34
bench scraper and it's really handy if
4:36
you like to bake a lot what you want to
4:38
do after you have your portions placed
4:41
out is you wanna pull the dough I get
4:47
any excess air out and seal at the back
4:52
it's gonna look that come up Sorella
4:55
ball you're stretching the dough and
4:59
trapping air
5:02
you should have see you left and do the
5:06
same with the rest of us my cast-iron
5:08
pan I put some olive oil in it so you
5:12
want to spread this out and season the
5:16
pan
5:17
lots of my help our beef top not
5:20
sticking while it's baking make sure
5:27
it's everywhere the sides of the bottom
5:32
now place one off the adore balls right
5:35
in the center make sure it's covered in
5:39
oil then tightly wrap this with two
5:43
layers of plastic wrap and let it rest
5:46
for another one and a half to two hours
5:48
or until your dough doubles in size so
5:52
I'm gonna preheat my oven at 500 and let
5:55
it heat for at least one hour this door
5:58
has risen for almost an hour
6:00
what I'm gonna do now is sort of tap it
6:04
out what you want to do is stretch and
6:08
dark until the dough covers edge to edge
6:14
and you also want to use your fingers to
6:18
create that lip that crust on the side
6:24
of the pizza which should be all love
6:27
I'm done working on this dough I'm happy
6:30
with how it looks
6:31
I'm gonna cover it again and just let it
6:34
sit and relax for a few more minutes so
6:38
I'll be putting a really simple tomato
6:40
sauce on the pizza which is basically
6:42
ground-up tomatoes or pesara mix with
6:45
red chili flakes some salt olive oil and
6:48
a clove of garlic I'm gonna make this
6:50
one clean cheese just a white pizza stop
6:56
it with cheese so this one is gonna be a
6:58
plain cheese the one up top
7:03
it's gonna be a pepperoni so I'm putting
7:07
my simple raw marinara sauce the oven is
7:11
so hot that the saw
7:13
we'll cook with the pizza in the oven it
7:18
really makes your life much easier so
7:20
again let's top these with cheese now
7:22
I'm gonna start putting my spicy
7:24
pepperoni
7:25
honestly this smells really good at this
7:27
pepperoni you can smell that pop Rika
7:30
which i think is in there it's really
7:32
nice you go start with pepperoni now
7:36
let's put these in the oven and bake
7:38
until the bottom is nice and crispy and
7:42
the top is caramelized based on your
7:45
oven you may find that in one case the
7:49
crust is delicious in golden brown and
7:51
the top is nicely cabbage as well in
7:55
some ovens such as mine this does not
7:58
happen at the same time because of poly
8:01
how the heat is trapped in the oven what
8:03
happens in my oven is the bottom gets
8:06
nice and crusty like just how I want it
8:09
and the top is not well caramelized so
8:12
towards the end of the cooling process
8:13
you want to turn on the broiler and will
8:16
you keep a close eye on it at the top
8:18
caramelizes and the crust becomes brown
8:21
on the top as well there you have it
8:22
guys this looks like an epic meal time
8:26
I'm gonna finish the Margherita add some
8:30
freshly shipped basil just to really
8:33
that intense flavor in there this looks
8:37
like a great slice there you have it
8:39
guys now you know how to make your own
8:41
homemade cast-iron pan pizza and today I
8:46
beets 3 personal pan pizzas these are
8:49
amazing it's gonna make you fall in love
8:52
