hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine
0:02
Sabia for explain America and Mitch
0:04
McConnell he's just made it very clear
0:07
what his future holds and it may
0:09
surprise some people before we get

0:35
Mitch
0:37
McConnell is a disaster you know what
0:40
let me tell you something he's a
0:42
disaster when it comes to Donald Trump
0:43
because I'm a Mitch McConnell fan I
0:46
think Mitch McConnell I know you're
0:47
going to say that's crazy but listen
0:49
Mitch because of Mitch McConnell we have
0:51
the Supreme Court because of Mitch
0:53
McConnell we have judgeships all over
0:55
the country he is a chess player a
0:57
master of playing chess in the but he
1:00
plays his chess for the old Republican
1:03
guard and so last week when it came time
1:05
to vote for Pete hegi he voted
1:08
no he may vote no on some more Trump
1:10
cabinet nominees because Mitch McConnell
1:12
thinks he's more important than the
1:14
president of the United
1:17
States it's absolutely
1:20
ridiculous and he absolutely tipped his
1:22
hand here about his future when he said
1:24
he's he he sat for this interview said
1:26
he's unburdened youve heard that before
1:28
right he's not worried about the voters
1:30
or about Trump or about any of this he
1:33
feels free now
1:35
yeah because what he's telling you is
1:37
he's not going to try and get reelected
1:39
because he's three days older than
1:41
dirt first came water then came Mitch
1:44
McConnell that's how old the guy is all
1:47
right so yeah you're not going to run
1:49
for office again and I'm actually
1:51
surprised by that I thought you were
1:53
actually going to get mummified and just
1:55
keep going and going and going for the
1:56
next couple hundred years I guess I was
1:58
wrong
2:01
it's not about you Mitch you always make
2:03
it about you and it's not about you it's
2:05
about what the American people voted for
2:07
the people of Kentucky they voted for
2:09
you but the people of 50 states 77
2:13
million of us we voted for Donald Trump
2:15
not president Mitch
2:17
McConnell I want you guys to listen to
2:19
his reasoning though I want you to
2:21
listen to what he says here and let me
2:22
know what you think in the comments
2:24
there have been threats against Senators
2:28
Republicans if they express opposition
2:31
to some of the cabinet choices that
2:34
President Trump has put forward I've
2:36
seen it called Co tactics or grinding
2:41
Senators into
2:43
submission suggesting there will be
2:45
reprisals if you vote against X or
2:49
Y um your view on that kind of bullying
2:54
tactic if I were the president I would
2:57
tell my
2:58
supporters quit doing
3:00
that
3:02
because
3:04
everything this president wants to do
3:08
depends upon Republican votes some of
3:10
the Republicans that you say the
3:13
president's going to need are afraid
3:15
they're
3:17
afraid they're going to be primaried
3:20
they're afraid they'll be attacked are
3:23
you feeling any fear of reprisals oh
3:27
look uh fear F of the president fearful
3:31
of
3:34
reprisals uh no I'm I'm
3:38
not McConnell said he feels liberated at
3:40
this particular moment and after the
3:42
interview Senator McConnell was one of
3:44
three Republicans to vote against
3:45
President Trump's pick for uh defense
3:47
secretary Pete hegseth you can watch
3:50
