Nancy Pelosi suffered a fall in
0:40
Luxembourg Germany when she was there
0:42
with a Congressional Delegation to
0:44
celebrate the Battle of the Bulge to
0:48
celebrate the sacrifice and honor the
0:50
sacrifice of the American and the Allied
0:53
troops who perished in that battle in
0:55
World War
0:56
II the fall was very severe it was hard
1:00
fall our understanding at the time is
1:02
she fell down some
1:04
stairs unfortunately and here's where it
1:07
gets
1:07
worse uh Miss Pelosi the representative
1:10
Pelosi she she broke her hip and she had
1:13
to have hip replacement surgery she's 84
1:16
years old this is absolutely devastating
1:19
for somebody at any age but you guys if
1:22
you've ever dealt with a family member
1:23
with a hip injury a replaced hip
1:26
something of that nature this is
1:28
tremendously serious
1:30
devastatingly serious and there are
1:33
rumors now swirling around Washington
1:36
that when she gets back she's going to
1:38
call it a career in the shortterm future
1:42
in other words when or soon after Trump
1:45
is inaugurated as the next president of
1:47
the United States there seems to be an
1:50
ongoing theme with these octogenarian
1:53
lawmakers where they keep getting
1:55
injured just days before Pelosi Mitch
1:59
McConnell suffered a fall and he
2:00
suffered cuts and
2:02
bruises I can't imagine how good the
2:05
perks are of being a member of the
2:08
Senate or the House of
2:09
Representatives that even in your 80s
2:12
even in failing Health you continue to
2:15
hang on till the last minute we've seen
2:16
members die in office what is the reason
2:20
for this what other job would you hang
2:23
on to for this long under those
2:25
conditions what are the perks these are
2:27
the things that I think as Americans we
2:29
need to know no now I should say that
2:33
the spokespeople for former speaker
2:35
Pelosi said that she's doing well she's
2:38
on the men and the surgery was a success
2:40
and for that we can be grateful I will
2:43
continue to pray for her I pray that you
2:46
continue to pray for her because that's
2:48
who we are we don't wish harm on people
2:52
because they're our political enemies
2:53
that's not what conservatism is about
2:56
that's not what Maga is about and so you
2:59
know let's join in prayer for Miss
3:02
Pelosi no matter what we think of what
3:03
she's done she's a human being and she's
3:07
one of God's children and she deserves
3:11
our prayers with that said I want you to
3:14
watch this report on the newest
3:15
information coming out about Pelosi and
3:18
then let me know what you think in the
3:20
comments all right this just into CNN
3:22
former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
3:25
has had surgery in Germany after a fall
3:28
yesterday CNN's Julia Brook is at the
3:30
White House Julia what are you
3:32
learning we're learning that former
3:34
house Speaker Nancy Pelosi had hip
3:37
replacement surgery earlier today and a
3:40
representative from her team said that
3:42
the surgery was successful and that she
3:44
is well on the mint this fall happened
3:48
during an international trip and
3:49
according to three sources Pelosi had a
3:51
fall on the stairs during that trip um
3:55
the 84-year-old was metav act from
3:56
Luxembourg to Germany and that's where
3:58
the surgery took place she was at a
4:00
Regional Medical Center uh Medical
4:03
Center that's a major military hospital
4:05
and for years has treated US troops who
4:08
were injured in combat now her team did
4:11
expand in this statement we're going to
4:13
pull up part of that for you now they
4:15
said quote speaker Pelosi is enjoying
4:17
the overwhelming outpouring of prayers
4:20
as well as well wishes and is ever
4:22
determined to ensure access to Quality
4:24
Health Care for Americans what they did
4:27
not touch on though is how long she may
4:30
be in the hospital and when she plans to
4:32
return to work Fred oh my goodness okay
4:35
well we are all wishing her well and uh
4:37
full recovery Julia Ben Brook at the
4:39
White House thank you so much
