It really helps to help our channel grow with those little things you can do for us
0:24
Carine Jean-Pierre is certainly not regarded as one of the best press secretaries in the history of the White House
0:31
I think we can all agree, at least from our end, we see her and we look and we say, what is she doing there
0:38
She's no Jen Psaki. And Jen Psaki, we disagreed with her on a lot of things
0:42
But, you know, she knew how to do the job. The difference with Jean-Pierre is it seems like she gets frustrated
0:50
She gets angry at the reporters for doing a reporter's job and asking questions of the press secretary on behalf of the White House
0:58
Her job is to sit there and answer the questions from that reporters have for the president, for the White House
1:04
And she seems to get aggravated with that. But one African reporter is actually taking it upon himself
1:11
to take it a step further. Simon Etzeba says that he believes he's been discriminated against
1:17
by the White House because of the frequent brush ups he's had with Carine Jean-Pierre
1:23
Now, he's had several to the point where Jean-Pierre has stormed out of the press briefing room where she's publicly scolded him
1:34
You know, just refused to call on the man. And he has now finally filed a lawsuit, dragging her into court
1:42
And she's going to have to explain why she has picked on this one particular reporter more than the others
1:48
You know, it's certainly not a racial issue. We don't think they're both black
1:53
They you know, it doesn't seem to be any personal issue that they've had prior to her becoming the press secretary
1:59
So the question is, what is going on? Does he just ask tough questions and you don't want to answer tough questions
2:05
He does ask a very good question. So maybe that's part of the reason maybe he doesn't kiss her
2:09
butt like the rest of the press corps does, let's say for Peter Doocy
2:14
You know, maybe that's what she doesn't like about him. You know, he actually does his job
2:19
So there could be any number of reasons. But Simon says he's going to get to the bottom of it
2:24
in a court of law and have his day in court. And I think that's good because a free press, a press that holds truth
2:31
you know, truth to power that holds the the politicians and the people in power's feet to the fire is vital for a democracy
2:38
It is vital for our country in particular. We are built on freedom, individual freedoms
2:43
We're built on freedom of the press. And, you know, up until recent times, the press, you know, was supposed to do
2:49
its job in shining a light on government and protecting the people from corruption
2:55
And, you know, now it's in a lot of people's eyes become just another wing
2:59
of the Democrat Party, and that's a shame because press plays a vital role
3:04
And they deserve better than being reprimanded by Press Secretary Kareem Jean-Pierre
3:11
So, Simon, good luck in your lawsuit, man. You know, we're all pulling for you
3:15
And at least let's get to the bottom of what's going on here. And in the meantime, if you really want real news with no filter
