Former President Donald Trump, as you know, is facing charges on the classified documents

that he held at Mar-a-Lago. Normally, this is a back and forth with the National Archives

There has been back and forth about what documents are allowed to be kept, what documents

have to go back. But that's for the courts to decide now, and they will

We have a trial date set, and it's good news for President Trump

Judge Eileen Cannon, the Trump-appointed judge that the liberals are very furious got assigned

to this case, has set the trial date for August 14th. Now why is this good news for Trump

It's August 14th, 2023. It should not be a long trial or a long case, and this can get out of the way and done before

the real campaigning starts for the 2024 presidential election. Getting this out of the way early takes this off the back of the president so he can freely campaign

It's a fantastic decision for the president, one that I think he's going to meet with some

degree of happiness. He's going to be furious about the case. He's still going to be furious about the case

He should be furious about the case. But because the case exists, and because there's really nothing you can do about that, this

is the best outcome for him right now, a quick, speedy trial

Now Jack Smith, the special counsel, the special prosecutor in the case, said he wanted a speedy trial

So this is going to be good news for him too. He wanted to get this done before the presidential election and not kick his can down the road

But again, the better news here is for Trump. Democrats are not going to be able to hang this over his head during the campaign

You see, if the trial was set later, then that hampers Trump's ability to campaign

especially during the general election. I think it's pretty obvious that he's going to win the primary in a walk

So during the general election, this would have been a dark cloud hanging over his head

He would have had to continuously stop campaigning to come back and work this trial and defend

himself on these ridiculous charges. That's now out of the way. So it's going to be Jack Smith versus Donald Trump

It's going to be Biden's Justice Department versus Donald Trump. In my opinion, this is so reminiscent of what used to happen in the Soviet Union

Happens in China. You have your political opponents arrested, prosecuted, persecuted. And I think this could wind up being a cloud that really hangs over Joe Biden's head more

than it hangs over Trump's head. The coordination, it seems, with the district attorneys who are progressive, along with

the special prosecutor, another Trump hater, according to, I mean, if you believe certain

things about who he and his family have donated to and support it, and what he's done in the

past with the IRS Lois Lerner scandal, this whole thing is really insane

But it is what it is. To me, it looks like a coordinated effort amongst all these people to stop former President

Trump from taking out Joe Biden and becoming the president. But now it's time to see what happens at trial

Does the judge and jury think it's as ridiculous as we think it is
