0:02

0:04

0:09
income
0:10
taxes before we get started please make

0:31
helps us
0:32
out president Donald Trump has has
0:35
raised this before but it seems like
0:36
he's getting very serious about it see
0:39
the federal government didn't always
0:42
have income taxes they're actually kind
0:43
of a new
0:44
creation and they certainly didn't have
0:46
graduated federal income taxes but
0:48
what's happening now is the taxes have
0:51
gotten out of control if you guys
0:53
saw what I owe in taxes for last year
0:55
you'd cry it's you could buy a house
0:59
with with some people have to pay for
1:00
taxes it's
1:02
crazy and as you write these enormous
1:06
checks to the government you say to
1:08
yourself what am I getting for this like
1:10
what is this kind of feels like a
1:12
Shakedown operation like a gangster
1:15
style Shakedown for protection money
1:17
that's what it starts to feel like you
1:19
have to pay your taxes that's the law
1:22
but the fact is the government doesn't
1:25
need your taxes to function there are
1:27
other ways it's been proven through
1:29
throughout history that we can function
1:32
without taxes I do believe some form of
1:35
taxes are appropriate but we've gotten
1:36
to a point where people are paying 35
1:39
37% of their income and you say Well
1:41
they're in the upper eela earners so
1:43
what it's still their
1:44
money it's not the government's money
1:48
and it it just doesn't seem right to pay
1:50
that kind of a percentage of your
1:53
income to the government it should be a
1:55
10% flat tax across the board I've
1:57
always proposed that I think that's a fa
1:59
Fair
2:00
an equitable way to do things and so
2:03
somebody paying a million pays a h
2:04
100,000 somebody making a million
2:06
dollars a year pays $100,000 that's a
2:08
lot more tenable than paying
2:11
$350,000 a lot more tenable Trump has a
2:15
plan and I love it I want you guys to
2:17
hear it and let me know what you think
2:18
in the comments young waitress I think
2:20
you can call Young you're probably not
2:22
even supposed to say
2:23
young probably supposed to say a
2:26
waitress but a young waitress came up
2:29
and I said how you doing and in my
2:31
restaurant in the hotel and Trump I said
2:34
how are you doing and she said not great
2:36
because they're after me so viciously
2:38
for tips they just want my tip income
2:41
and they don't believe me and all of
2:43
this and she said it's terrible you know
2:46
sir you should have no tax on tips I
2:49
said
2:50
what said what did you just say no tax
2:53
on tips that was about the amount of my
2:56
consultation
3:00
it's true no tax I said what did you
3:02
just say say those words again sir no
3:04
tax on tips I said you thank you very
3:07
much you just won the
3:10
[Applause]
3:16
election no but no we did Research into
3:19
it I think it's going to be great but
3:21
under the Trump Administration the
3:22
Forgotten men and women of our country
3:25
are going to be forgotten no longer you
3:27
know that they weren't forgotten four
3:29
years ago on day one I immediately
3:31
halted the hiring of any new IRS agents
3:34
you know they
3:38
hired they
3:40
hired or tried to hire
3:42
88,000 new workers to go after you and
3:45
we in the process of developing a plan
3:48
to either terminate all of them or maybe
3:51
we'll move them to the
3:55
Border I think we're going to move him
3:57
to the Border
4:00
well they're allowed to carry guns you
4:02
know they're so strong on guns but these
4:05
people are allowed to carry guns so
4:06
we'll probably move them to the Border
4:10
yeah she said no tax on any how about
4:13
just no
4:20
tax you can do that you know if uh the
4:23
tariffs work out like I think the thing
4:26
like that could happen if you want to
4:27
know the TR you know years ago 1870 to
4:32
1913 we didn't have an income tax we had
4:35
what we had is tariffs where foreign
4:38
countries came in and they stole our
4:39
jobs they stole our companies they stole
4:41
our product they ripped us off and you
4:44
know they used to do numbers and then we
4:46
we went to tariff a tariff system and
4:48
the Tariff system made so much money it
4:51
was when we were the richest from uh
4:53
1870 to 1913 then we came in with the
4:56
brilliantly came in with an income tax
4:58
no we don't want others to pay let's
5:00
have our people pay and then you had the
5:02
depression in 1928 1929 I call it
5:06
1929 that was a bad time but you know
5:09
you didn't have tariffs and you had
5:10
tariffs that ended in
5:12
1913 but uh it's uh it was the richest
5:17
our country ever was that was uh
5:19
President McKinley in fact we're
5:22
renaming the mountain mount mckenley
5:24
[Applause]
