Hey, ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia and the Hunter Biden investigation
0:05
Well, it just took a remarkable turn, and it's not pretty for the Biden family
0:10
The whistleblower, who says that the Department of Justice has been interfering
0:15
well, he didn't wait for protection like he wanted to, and he has revealed all
0:21
Let's take a look at it. But before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe
0:27
It really helps us out, and it helps us out. our channel continue to grow
0:31
So the whistleblower, a Mr. Shapley, Gary Shapely, spoke to CBS News of all places
0:38
which was kind of surprising to me that CBS News would be the ones to interview this guy
0:43
considering they haven't really been too hard on the Biden family in recent years
0:49
But they interviewed this guy, and according to him, he never mentioned the words Hunter Biden
0:55
and we have to say that CBS reported that it is the Hunter Biden investigation
1:00
all we know is it's a high profile individual, but CBS and pretty much every news outlet is reporting that it's Hunter Biden
1:07
But what we learned from him is that he said things are being done in this investigation that he never seen done in his 14 14 history with the agency this IRS investigation into Hunter Biden He says he never seen things behave this way
1:21
He says that there's deviations from how things are normally done, and they always favor the person who's being investigated, who we believe to be Hunter Biden
1:31
Normally, you know, if there'd be a deviation, it would favor the prosecution
1:36
In this case, no. And who he said is the people in
1:40
interfering. He won't say the exact person, but the department that's interfering
1:45
let's take a look at that. Gary Shapley is a supervisory special agent for the IRS, where he's
1:50
worked for 14 years. In January 2020, he was assigned to what he calls a high profile investigation
1:58
Who's the subject of the investigation? I can't confirm or deny the subject of this investigation
2:04
Why not? Because, you know, part of the tax secrecy laws don't allow it. Shappley can't say it. But
2:09
CBS News has learned the investigation was the probe of Hunter Biden by the Trump-appointed U.S
2:15
attorney in Delaware. Senior Biden administration officials have vowed to let it run its course without interference
2:23
It not restricted in his investigation in any way But CBS News has obtained this letter Shappley lawyers sent to Congress Monday alleging irregularities in DOJ handling of the investigation
2:35
Shapley is seeking legal protections from Congress so he can share specifics of his allegations
2:42
There was multiple steps that were slow-walked at the direction of the Department of Justice
2:49
Had you ever encountered that before? I have not, no. These deviations from normal process
2:54
and each and every time it seemed to always benefit the subject
2:59
Shepley says he decided to blow the whistle after a heated meeting last October with federal prosecutors
3:06
It was my red line meeting. It just got to that point where that switch was turned on and I just couldn't silence my conscience anymore
3:16
Did you let prosecutors know you were unhappy? I don't think I can answer that
3:21
Hunter Biden has denied any wrongdoing. Like civil servants. The IRS agent told us he is a registered Republican
3:28
His whistleblowing is being assisted by an advocacy group with past ties to the GOP
3:33
But Shapley says this is not about politics. Why do you want to navigate these waters
3:39
I don want to do any of this I took an oath of office And when I saw that egregiousness of some of these things it no longer became a choice for me It not something that I want to do It something that I feel like I have to do The IRS told us it can comment on specific cases but is committed
3:56
to supporting whistleblowers in general. Both the DOJ and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Delaware
4:01
declined to comment. And there you have it. It's Merrick Garland's Department of Justice
4:06
or I guess justice for some. But apparently not justice. in this case, because it doesn't seem like, according to this whistleblower
4:14
they're very interested in getting Hunter Biden. Now, if this whistleblower testifies before Congress
4:20
and now that he's become public, I see no reason for him not to
4:25
That's going to be, that's going to be quite the story, folks
4:29
That could really do serious damage to President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign
4:35
He has wanted this swept under the rug, and it's not being swept under the rug. So this is going to be something
4:40
that we have to continue to watch and continue to keep giving you the news on every day here at Explain America
4:47
Again, I'm Carmine Sabia, and this is Explain America. Remember, we love you guys. God bless you
