Ladies and gentlemen, Carmine Sabia here for Explain America, and it has come to this
0:05
Fox News is finally taking legal action in the case of Tucker Carlson's departure from the
0:11
network and its aftermath. It's unfortunate, but this is what it's come to. Folks, before we get
0:16
started, please make sure you like, you comment, you share, and you subscribe. Those little things
0:22
really help us out and really help to get our message to a wider audience, and we do appreciate
0:27
so much that you do that for us. So Fox News has sent a cease and desist letter to Media Matters
0:33
for America. Media Matters, which has made a career or a whole business basically out of
0:40
attacking Fox News, released text messages that were redacted from the Dominion lawsuit from
0:46
Tucker Carlson, and they released video footage from Tucker Carlson on the set of a Fox News
0:53
program knocking a Fox Nation program and knocking Fox Nation as a whole. Now, I have some questions
1:00
about that, but we're going to get to that in just a second. I want to read to you this letter
1:04
from the Explain America website that was sent to Media Matters CEO, Mr. Carlson. It reads as
1:12
follows. Dear Mr. Carlson, we write on behalf of Fox Corporation to clarify any misunderstandings
1:19
Media Matters may have had regarding previously unaired footage that Media Matters has published
1:25
in a series of articles headlined Fox Leaks. That unaired footage is Fox's confidential intellectual
1:33
property. Fox did not consent to its distribution or publication, and Fox does not consent to its
1:40
further distribution or publication. This proprietary material was given to you without
1:46
Fox's authorization. Fox demands that Media Matters cease and desist from distribution
1:53
publication, and misuse of Fox's misappropriated proprietary footage, which you are now on notice
2:00
was unlawfully obtained. We reserve all rights and remedies. But the point here I think that's
2:06
more important is how did Media Matters get this footage? How? Who at Fox Corporation did this
2:14
How else would they get it? Did they sneak in the middle of the night and obtain it
2:19
As Megyn Kelly has said, as I have said on this program, somebody at Fox News in our opinions
2:25
had to do this. Of course we can't prove that, but it just seems like a smear job that's being
2:30
done on Tucker Carlson by somebody in the Fox family that is out to get Tucker Carlson
2:36
Who else has access to the text messages? Who else has access to the proprietary footage that was
2:43
aired by Media Matters? Who else? It has to be somebody in the Fox Corporation. And so while Fox
2:50
is right to bring this lawsuit against, or not lawsuit, but cease and desist letter against Media
2:54
Matters, they also need to look in their own backyard. Who is responsible for this? Get to
3:00
that person and get rid of that person. So it's got to be a very small list of people who would
3:05
have access to all this information, to the texts, to the videos, to anything related to this whole
3:11
situation. That group has to be exceedingly small. So if I'm Fox, I'm finding out who that person is
3:18
who created the hole in your boat, because that's the issue in a nutshell, not Media Matters. Media
3:24
Matters is doing what Media Matters does, attack Fox News, attack Tucker Carlson. You have to fix
3:30
the hole in your own boat. Folks, again, I'm Carmine Sabia. This is Explain America. Please
3:36
make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe. Again, those little things really help us out
3:42
We love you guys. God bless you. Take care, everybody
